Oh Karen that's rough. they have to call the paramedics when my MiL falls. Both were on the floor ?? Oh my.

Karen~ Geez! SS about finding both of your parents on the floor!!! It's tough...I know....

Deb~I add chopped basil/onions/ salt/pepper/balsamic vinegar/ mustard/ & EVOO to my Beets! If I don't have any of the listed...I just add vinegar/salt/pepper & that's it! Oh, also, like to top them with blue cheese or goat cheese! WOW...wish I could get your ZZZZZ! Hmmm....go for it...on the Yoga!

CJ~Get well soon! Hate that coughing/wheezing! That Ham sounds sooo delish!

Didn't go to yoga today. Did a long walk on the beach instead! Have a question here...how many sets of sheets can you wash/dry in one load? I'm finding...2 sets of sheets are too much for our dryer? I mean...they get all wadded up & tangled?!!! & They come out very wrinkled!! WTH? Do your sheets do that too? Do I need to just wash/dry one set of sheets at a time?

My old dryer didn't wad sheets. My new dryer does, bad. It doesn't seem to matter how many or few. I bought dryer balls but that didn't help. Just resigned to checking them frequently and unwadding them.

Still coughing and wheezing but worked today. Going out with Mom tomorrow instead of Thursday. Supposed to snow 1-2" Thursday. Our bridge work is done so no more detours ham is delish. Going to use the bone for ham and beans. On track with eating

Freezing rain here yesterday, just plain bitter cold today. Staying in with the fireplace all day again today.
Everyone around me has been coming down with cold/flu, but so far I have been avoiding it.

We've been getting Dad through the last crisis and he's doing well in rehab again. He's set to be released in another seven days. So, hopefully he can continue his path to recovery.

I've been back on plan for over a week. So far so good. I'm not checking my weight right now, but will begin that next week along with getting back to the gym.

I hope everyone has a safe, warm weekend

Karen yuck and stay safe. Hope the animals stay safe.

V so happy your dad is getting better and you've stayed away from sickness. We are bitter cold but missed most of the rain. Slick places but not bad.

Deb must be feeling better.

Pat all nice and warm. Jealous sounds like you are getting quite a few free classes

Temps dropped from the 50's t teens yesterday, news said it dropped a degree a minute when that Canadian front came thru. So I made a big pot of ham and beans anf some cornbread for DH. He was frozen when he got home and loved it. LD thinks he is a husky and wants out all the time.

Miss V I am so glad that your dad is on the road to recovery !! AND you havent got this terrible cold every one has had.
I will be back at the gym next week too..seems like it is forever since going.

Yep Cheryl feeling better..don't feel much like eating so I feel a little run down.

L/D is so funny

So I bought sweet tater/turnip and beets..yum
Going to roast the beets now for beet salad and I think we may be going out for a while tonight so not sure if i am cooking or we may head to the pub..

Now try eating plant based when you go out
There is one vegan buffet in the city but I don't think I can buffet..just not hungry..not like me for sure

He pressed the WRONG BUTTON! Really? DUH!! They are calling it an erroneous missile alert!

My DH didn't believe it & continued to watch his basketball game! He said, what would we do about it anyway? No where to go! Just sit & kiss your Arse away! Some friends of ours hid in their closet! They said, just in case glass would start flying everywhere. We weren't officially notified that it was a false alarm for 40mins! I've heard that if there was a missile attack in Hawaii, from North Korea, that it would take 20min. to arrive here!!

Off to Yoga I go. Laters.

Sounds like a wreck.....and then we wonder why people ignore warnings......... Frustrating.

Glad it was a "mistake" though.

Humongo Swell/Waves here on the North Shore!!! Beaches are Closed!! Cars parked all along the Highway w/peeps walking in closer to see/watch the Big Swell! Locals have set up Fruit/veggie stands along the road & there's even a Mango Sorbet truck out there!!

V~Hope your Dad gets better soon & is discharged from the Rehab!

Deb~How is your Dude feeling? Better, I hope? How did your Beet salad turn out? Enjoying the sun?

CJ~How was your day w/Mom? Are you all over your colds?

I'm in for the rest of the day. Going to make a Caprese salad for lunch & catch up on my recorded shows from last week. Dinner will be BBQ Chic-boobs & a salad. DH will have rice w/his. Scale is a bit up today due to the Fake Missile Alert yesterday! Oops! As the front page of the paper said!!

Snow snow snow. Nice and warm inside. Tomorrow bitter cold so another inside day. Should be better later this week and I can get in to work. Interstates and highways must be slick. All are closed or partially closed due to semi truck wrecks

Pat I went to North Shore Cam to see waves but it was evening there by the time I did it and they were down to 2-4 ' waves

Deb hope you guys get over it faster than we have. We are bot still coughing and ready to take it easy these cold snowy days.

Karen I bet you are getting rough weather too. How are the parents doing? Are the still at home?

Mom has good and bad days. Yesterday was good and she swept snow off her porch, sidewalk and driveway. Today she is dizzy and taking it easy.

Oh yeah we got a call this afternoon from the gas company at the lake. They had to turn gas off yesterday afternoon ( no heat) and were at our place to get it going today. Luckily we have combo lock so he could get in. Got furnace lit and heat back on. I just hope there is no pipe damage.
