Low Carb Maven's Flaky Low Carb Pie Crust Recipe

Has anyone else tried this recipe? I have made it twice. The pie crust comes out flaky and keeps it's crispness. Today I made her Black Bottom Pie. The crust held up beautifully. This is the closest I've come to my high carb pie crust recipe without using wheat products. The secret is that she uses egg white liquid instead of water. I think she's a genius.

I tried it because of your post and...wow! It looks beautiful and, like you said, it's flaky and holds up. I'm usually so disappointed in low carb "look-a-likes" but this passed with flying colors. There were so many steps to the Black Bottom Pie that I was thinking I'd never make it again but the results made it worth the effort. One thing I didn't understand was her use of a glass pie plate. It had you taking a very cold pie plate and putting it in a hot oven. Even Pyrex says not to do that so I used a pie tin. Had to use a tin anyway since I was cooking it in my Breville Smart Oven and glass is not recommended. Thanks for your post. You've opened up a whole new category of desserts for me!
