November Daily or Alternate Day Weigh-In

We've lived through the 10 months of 2017 and just had the initiating event of a run of Winter festivities. JUDDD allows us to treat such occasions as part of the rhythm of our lives, and opportunities to apply what we know and choose to look forward to celebrations and seasonal events.

You know the drill, JBs - this is where we announce our goals for the month and we report the results of our daily or alternate day weigh-ins. Dr Johnson recommends weekly weigh-ins for preference, but for those of us who prefer more regular feedback than that he advises that we or others who are demoralised by bouncing should practise alternate day weigh-ins, after a DD.

Please, always remember, the scale is the least informative way of tracking the changes in our bodies when we follow a fasting lifestyle: we do it because it's a readily accessible proxy for those changes. How you feel, changes in the fit of your clothes, changes in photographs you monitor, improvements in blood pressure etc. are much better indicators. And, seriously, if weigh-in numbers are likely to influence your mood, think very seriously about using something else to assess your progress. The number on the scale is context-free and is influenced by so many factors that can mask progress: use a piece of clothing; measure in several places; use regular photographs from several angles (same clothes, lighting conditions etc.); track your health.

My goal is to continue to maintain within my range of 100-108lbs, allowing for my usual excursions relating to pain management, muscle swelling, fluid shifts etc. Overall my goal is to maintain my body fat level somewhere between 20-25%.

01 Nov. 111.8lbs DD

I'm taking WLM action. I am so ready to be reliably <110lbs again and on on a downward path to my comfortable range (102-105lbs). This extra weight is helping neither my shoulders nor my lower back.

November Goals - No sugar, no alcohol, no dairy, no processed carbs, no caffeine. Keep my JUDD cycles. I'm keeping it clean for a month. Let the scale do what it does.

I have company coming in to visit us for a fun-filled weekend of partying,winery tour, and dinners out at special restaurants! I hope to stay as close to my rotational calories as possible, but no matter what, I plan to jump right back in and stick to my JUDDD routine once they are gone!

I just hope I don't stray too much while they're here!

Nov goal... realistic goal 174-175 (giving myself a 1 lb leeway for the holiday); stretch goal 173. Definitely want to see the 160s again in December... (thats definitely looking ahead ).

02 Nov 178.4 this is over 10 lbs higher than my last weigh in early summer. blah.
