Plant based menus

Plant based menus anyone?

I have been looking at several sites and most of the menus seem very time consuming.
Is there a secret to making fast plant based dinners without using premade or processed foods?

If anyone would like to post some menus, that would be great.

You have an Instant Pot so that will speed things up. You could also batch cook one day and eat for a few, using different ways of preparing.

Clean Food Dirty Girl has a sample meal plan you could try.

You could also just make a big pot of beans then have it as burgers one day, soup another, Buddha bowls, tacos, etc. When it's gone cook up another bactch.
Cooked grains last a while when refrigerated and taste fresh if steamed for a minute or two and you can add them to other stuff.

I always keep red lentils on hand because they cook up so quickly for soup, dahl....

I eat mostly plant based, but OMG I am so ridiculously sensitive to carbs, it is so frustrating. They make me blow up like a balloon--

Ouizoid, I had the same problem after eating LC for a decade. I had to ease into it really slowly and started with oat bran and Sprouted flax bread (only one slice).
I finally exchanged the oat bran for rolled oats, and now have added back other grains but still not in large amounts and the occasional potato.

I guess I had to get the enzymes working properly again and correct the bacteria.

Really as a LC'er I got so I couldn't eat much of anything! Plus I had cravings which I no longer have....Thank goodness.

Thanks jem51 for the help.

Ouizoid, bummer about the carbs. I am the opposite and when I did strictly low carb to lose weight, I would stop losing weight and have to eat some carbs just to start losing weight again. Strange.

Hi Heidinem - nice to see you and
Thank you. Yes, I am. The kidneys seem to be working fine.
I still watch what I eat most days, but my salt has been low for the last couple of months, so I sometimes splurge on a can of V8.
I need to get back to making my own V8 again.

I make a lot of stir fry. It's easy, fast, I can use whatever veggies I happen to have on hand, I can use different sauces....and I usually make enough for plenty of leftovers.

Yes, I like stir frys a lot, but I generally only make 1 per week.

When I was strictly low carb, I made them all the time...them and eggbeaters were most of my menus. lol

Hi.
I'm going to do Plant base.>Flexitarian;
After I get done with fasting.
I like to get a really good Bean burgar recipe or any really on making veggie burgars.
I eat fresh veggies. and like fruits, nuts, beans, eggs, cheese. I also have to watch and know cals.
That is why I Think making home made soups or beans would be hard for me{For on cans it tell how many cals. and on soups.

Like i said I like to get back into Smoothie.
I also take lots of vits.
and when u do plant base or Vegatrain type plans U must have Vit. B 12{Do;nt u think?
I hope to join all of u and learn.
Nice to meet you all.
Most likely see u on other sites here.

Hi kind,
Welcome. I don't have a burger recipe cuz I never make them, but I do take vitamins...B12, D3, and Vit C. Sometimes I take other ones when I remember to take them.

I'm pretty much plant based but I still eat cheese, dairy. I don't know if I'll ever wean myself from that.

Welcome, kind. So, so many great bean burger recipes out there. Do a search and look at ingredients to see what sounds appealing.
Vegetarian Times and Whole Foods both have some good recipes on their sites.

I tend to just toss things together but you'll find plenty of great recipes.

Hi, Jem.
I keep trying. For last few days. I kinda have not done a fast. But today calaries were only 120 . So kinda.
But I like to get in at least 1-2 this week.
I went and did a 3 mile jog. Have not done 3 miles for while. and I did it.
I then went to sauna and got 40 mins in there. I think detoxing is great at least for me.
Hope to post more here and talk to u and Nigel.

Have a good week {what is left.
Still have not made Veggie burgers. Might just buy. or get when I go at.
Later
