Have the best week ever!
Stan I tried a couple of LC Foods bread mixes (yes, you can get them right here on Netrition) and got their Pizza & Calzone mix, I just made that, melted butter, garlic, italian herbs, and Parmesan on top, ten minutes in the oven it was done.

There's also a recipe on our favorite diet doctor's website you can try, or, just make fathead pizza dough and top as desired.

Bronwyn, I am so sorry for your loss. I haven't spoken to my half brother in years. He's 64. I hope to get the courage to call after reading your post. He moved out of state when I was 8 and I've hardly seen him since then.

I was a little surprised by that number this morning. I suspect that it may go up in the next day or so due to my food choices over the weekend. We shall see.

I am happy to see everyone doing well and checking in. I really need to start seeing my number go down. I need to figure out why I stalled so much the last two weeks. I understand the increase today. I made bad choices for 2 meals. But, the rest of the time I was faithful to my plan. Getting back on track today.

Good luck everyone! Keep checking in. Your progress is encouraging!
Enjoy your day!

Not a good day. First a weight gain and then to the dentist for a tooth ache that has been bothering me since Friday afternoon. the specialist now says a root canal needs to be done again (the same tooth had one done about 30 years ago) for $2,000 and the tooth next to it should have one also. We don't have dentist insurance, so its all going on my credit card. One tooth will get done of Wednesday. then I will see about the other one - my regular dentist said the second tooth may never give me pain and the choice was mine.
The specialist said there was a better choice to get it pulled and get an implant-- not happening. I had one done years ago for $5,000 and it was not pleasant. I will be tooth less before this fat old lady gets another implant or a bridge.

I was under my calorie cap by about 300 yesterday, so I'll probably bounce a little more by tomorrow. But overall, I'm pretty satisfied being down AT ALL for this month. And since last December, I'm a new man! I just measured my BP @ 102/63 averaged from 3 readings: Left, Right, Left. With no Meds since late September. What's not to like!?

Teeth.

Who needs 'em anyhow?! I'm pretty sure you can buy your food Pre-Chewed nowadays, Chris. Then you can tell your dentist to go pound sand.

(Just kidding. Sorry to hear your dental story....)

HOWWWWW did we get to Mid-November already??? Thanksgiving is next week!!

Chris, I've got a mouthful of crowns now. I know there will come a time when my dentist will start the pressure off "I can't crown this, how about an implant?" NOPE. I'm not paying that much money. I will die toothless. Probably tell them to pull them all & give me dentures. Blah.

I wasn't as good yesterday as I could have been. Sad to say, My Mojo has gone missing. It happened last week. When I was under general anethesia, he slipped out of my grip.

I WILL find him, though. Fear not!

Happy Tuesday all!

I just walked two miles. I have two more to go this afternoon. My vacation is one month away. Hopefully I will be down 10 more pounds. This will put me back down to where I was before I lost all my will power. It was a new low for me too. I just sabotaged myself, blaming stress.

It was discovered that the second tooth also NEEDS a root canal-even i could see the shadows on the xray- so now more money. Well, I'm having a pity party today and in pain. the dentist appointment is at 8:30am tomorrow and back on track. So today is my UP day.

Yes we all still have 1/2 a month to go, and every day counts.

Chris, good luck. I hate going to the dentist. I didn't grow up with fluoride and I've had some bad dentists, so double trouble. Luckily, my current dentist is fantastic. I see him tomorrow.

Teresa! Bloodhound.... you have a NAME!!!!!! (I've missed it up til now)

You've been committed and faithful to come here and post, even when I KNOW you didn't especially want to. You are gonna locate your missing MOJO, I just know it! (If you find him right away, ask him where his cousin is, cause Terri needs him back!)

I am pretty sure from my reading of others research, that you can UNDO some of the damage from overweight, and flubbed up metabolism...that we probably all suffer from on this sub-forum. EpiGenetics is a 20 dollar word for a simple idea: that when you change your life in a significant way, you can actually alter your GENES to some degree. It is called gene expression and it is transferrable...a lot like when you encounter bubbly, enthusiastic, FUN, positive people, it inevitably lifts your spirits! There is much to learn, but we are fearfully and wonderfully made! And our Designer isn't interested in us being fat, unproductive and miserable.

Oh I know, I know, we are all gonna die someday. But there's no point in hastening that day with chronic diseases the root cause of which is Metabolic Syndrome, Hyperinsulinemia, Insulin Resistance--whatever you wanna call it.

Be encouraged Bloodhound! And that goes for all of us losers!

ONWARD!

Teresa!!! HA! I missed it too!!

That happens to be the name on my birth certificate! My mom says "I don't know why I put Teresa on your birth certificate because I've been calling you Terri since the day you were born!"

We have a Tyler, my youngest.

He's been Ty since before he was born! ( I believe he signs documents with his official Birth Cert name...)

Good morning! DNW this morning, it was chilly last night and I wore sweats to bed and just could NOT find it within me to shuck them off and step on the scale.

Aanndd....CERTainly not gonna weigh with them on! That'd add...like...half a pound or something!

But, was on plan yesterday, not too worried but I didn't plan in advance well at all.

Teri I'm with ya on the teeth. I've had root canals, a coupla crowns, and now two lovely gaps where I had to have teeth yanked. Just can't/won't pay for implants. Now if they were more obvious it might be different...

Today I will eat right

Well I'm on the move again and have hit my original goal of 185

11/01/2017.. 188.2
11/02/2017.. 188.5
11/03/2017.. 191.3
11/04/2017.. 192.7
11/05/2017.. 190.2
11/06/2017.. 192.8
11/07/2017.. 194.0
11/08/2017.. 193.5
11/09/2017.. 192.0
11/10/2017.. 191.9
11/11/2017.. 189.0
11/12/2017.. 186.4
11/13/2017.. 185.9
11/14/2017.. 186.5
11/15/2007.. 184.0 I'm pretty pleased, for sure...

....But there's lots more work to do. Michael and I did our 2nd High Intensity workout at the gym last night and I feel awesome!

From my reading, recruiting the muscles of The Type 2 Elite Motor Group (HA! Sounds like a car dealership, right?) doesn't even start happening until the VERY LAST MOMENTS of EXTREEEEEEEEME muscle exertions. And, ideally....you EXHAUST each of the 4 types of motor groups--one by one---to FAILURE... in a progressive cascade, working each lower level "Motor Group" in turn before getting down to those ELITE Muscle Fibers...and all in 60-90 seconds per each of the (ONLY!!) 5 sets. Sounds too good to be true, right?? And those Type 2X Muscles are the ELUSIVE target of this type of workout. And that Motor Group is used rarely by modern mankind, and atrophy over time, from youth onward.

I'm trying hard. We are both trying HARD at these weekly workouts...but it just seems WRONG somehow, to only spend a few minutes training, One And Done style.

Wrong I say!

But we are both committed. And having a workout partner feels just as RIGHT (at this point) as the protocol feels WRONG.

Anyways, back to the WORK at hand. I'm still fat. Not VERY fat, mind you, I just am carrying around too much fat even though I'm pretty skinny looking in my street clothes. And I've really no idea whatever of where I should be in terms of weight. But I'm in dire need of swapping some of that blubber for some more lean mass.... mostly for the health benefits. I'd be lying if I said I didn't care about looking better, but my main thing is being healthier, FEELING GREAT, and undoing the damage I've done to myself over many years of poor eating choices.

I'm going to leave my weight goals alone in my user profile: (322 Start---185 Current---185 Goal) because:

1) I've been fasting again so 184 is an exaggerated number... to say it kindly, and

2) my original goal of 185 now seems too high in terms of how much body fat I still need to lose. And the scale number now matters less to me than than it did. It may actually come UP, but I'm prepared to stay the course and see what happens in time.

It's Hump Day people. And also the HUMP in the middle of the Month! Let's keep hitting it hard!

Not being really bad, but not being completely good either. I'm just in the middle right now. I guess things could be worse. I'm thinking about the grocery trip I have to make this weekend. It's always the worse one of the year not only because of the AMOUNT of groceries I have to buy (for my part of Thanksgiving, and for the pot-luck at work), but also the CROWDS of crazy people that only go grocery shopping ONCE A YEAR.

Today, I'm thankful for this little group we have here. I honestly love you guys. I wish some of the others that have left the group would come back and say hi. I miss them.

Happy Hump Day (Already???!)

Stan, you GAINED 7.5??? huh?

I've been trying to fast some. I end up doing the TTF24 (Tried To Fast 24 hours). haha! Stan tells me fasting is like a muscle, it has to be exercised and built up, so I'll keep on keeping on.
