Meat Mania
I'm sitting here chomping on the most delicious turkey burger I've ever made -- so good it doesn't even need BBQ sauce or anything to perk it up, just a pinch of that good pink Himalayan salt. And I'm wondering what everybody's favorite meat is.
Rightly or wrongly, I define meat as animal protein. Beef, pork, chicken, turkey, goat, buffalo, shrimp, lobster, tuna, etc. -- pretty much the muscle of any edible critter. Some folks use a more limited definition, I think, but I don't mind. What are your favorite meats? Mine are pastrami, polish sausage and now turkey burgers. ![]()

My favorites probably all come from the beef family, although I'm also quite fond of pork. You just can't beat a good bone-in rib steak, or prime rib of beef, but homesmoked baby back ribs or a good pork steak on the grill are mighty fine too!
And then there is a whole roasted turkey. Don't leave me unattended with the turkey if there is still skin on it! We eat turkey throughout the year. Love it rotisseried on the Showtime. Or just ovenroasted. Or smoked. AND then there is salmon, shrimp, scallops, Dungeness crab.... OK, fine, I don't HAVE a favorite, I just love MEAT! ![]()

My favorite is seafood...just about any kind. I love salmon, shrimp, clams, oysters, crab, halibut...i could go on and on. We get a lot of fresh seafood here in the NW and son-in-law has a boat and goes out often so get lots of it fresh caught. yummm.

Skirt steak is probably my single favorite meat, but I like other cuts of beef, chicken (cooked right, not dried out), bacon, and ham a lot too. Oh, don't forget shrimp.

I love it all - beef (I just made meatballs for dinner today), pork (yum, all forms), chicken, turkey, lamb, seafood (there is nothing more delicious than well prepared, fresh seafood). I think it depends on what I feel like having on a particular day. Fortunately, hubby doesn't mind having to eat whatever strikes my fancy on that day (for dinner)!

Oh, It's got to be Chicken and Seafood. Chicken is Cheap and Versatile and Seafood is Fairly Abundant for me, my husbands Brother operates a couple of Fishing Trawlers and we sock it away in the freezer. If I ever have to pay for Seafood again I'm gonna be in trouble. I do my best to keep him healthy
