SIX months on maintenance today! 2 pounds below goal weight!
Started 2/2015 at 280!
Met Goal 11/20/2015 at 180!
After 6 months, weigh 178 this morning!

For all the newbies, THIS PLAN WORKS! But you need to really follow it.
Many friends have tried it but do not really follow it. And it does not work. Wat a shock.
I tried dieting for 30 years. This is all that has ever worked for me.
I read "Why we get fat and what to do about it" and it changed my life.
Everything is easier. Flying. Walking. No back pain. Knee pain gone.
Still getting 10,000 steps a day which I know was a big part of it.
Now, I follow 40 carbs a day Monday - Friday and let myself be a little flexible on the weekends. I love bananas and pancakes now and then. I have had some bad weeks in the last 6 months, but get back on 20 a day the next week and am at goal weight the next week.
Doctor visit on 5/12/16....
CHOLESTEROL, TOTAL 135
HDL CHOLESTEROL 58
CHOL/HDLC RATIO 2.3
NON HDL CHOLESTEROL 77
I have been off HBP for 6 months, still 119 over 78.
I am on atorvastatin now 10mg and she now wants me to go to 5mg.
After 30 years of being overweight I forgot how good it feels to be normal weight.
I still can't believe I did it.

I love your post - so inspiring! Congrats to you on a job well done - and on figuring out maintenance too. That's where a lot of folks get into trouble, but sounds like you have it figured out what works for YOU.
