I cannot believe my good fortune since I began using them 2 days ago. every feeding time feels like I ate an elephant! that alone is worth it. there is no taste to them. it all began with a health related show during one of PBS fund raisers. hell, they have fun raising all year long now. but, it was 2a.m., so while I was playing with my computer, I kept it on. the lady's name was Joy Bauer. when she mentioned that chia seeds were high fiber, my Ferenghi ears became engaged. she said that 3 T of them had 14 gr of carbs, 12 of which were fiber. we know that is almost a free carb ride. well, enough babbling from me. y'all can do a lot worse for yourselves by not trying them. No 1 food does it all, but this added to everything we do, can make a noticeable difference, especially for those of us with binge disorders, and portion control problems. and, I am a card carrying member of both. Finally, a support group for chia addicts - ha. I buy them 3 pounds at a time when they go on sale - and I end up eating 2-4 tablespoons per day, usually in protein shakes, jello or sugar free hot chocolate.

Chia seeds dropped into pepperoncini brine is killer.
You can of course add it to any brine and then put those nice soaked and swollen chia seeds into anything you want with the right flavor profile.

love them in my morning protein shake. I just soak some in a bottle that is kept in the fridge. Fills me up until at least 2 pm.
