Good garlicky hot dog?

I love a good garlicky hot dog you can get at hot dog stands, or even at Costco. But when I try and buy a package of hot dogs at the grocery store, they are usually bland chicken or pork (or even the beef ones), thin regular hot dogs. Is there a brand or store anyone can recommend that has a great hot dog?

I like Nathan's or Hebrew National! I think Costco sells the hot dogs they use at their stand. At least they used too. It's been a long time since I have lived in a town with a Costco.

I think your Costco also should sell the same kind in their meats department...it is called a "Polish" hotdog. Look for the same type at your local market instead of the typical hot dog.

Thanks for feedback, I forgot to mention...I don't have a Costco membership, but do stop by their cafe some times which doesn't require a card! I appreciate specific brand names and will keep looking for them. One problem is I'm an Aldi regular, and their dogs are bland. We have Jewel and Dominicks around Chicago, so need to make a special stop!

The dogs make a quick snack cut up, or meal trimmed with sf pickles, mayo, onion, tomato, mustard and lc ketchup.

Polska kielbasa, too, but you will probably want to check the ingredients list. Some of the brands have corn syrups, etc.

I believe Costco will give you a free one-day shopping pass to "try them out" - you could load up!

These are my favorites also. I would be interested to see what other mass produced dogs compare.
