Best pasta ever. zeroodles

https://www.netrition.com/zeroodle-...shirataki.html

I just ordered these from Netrition and opened the linguine for lunch with butter/cheese.

My friend Judy pointed these out to me. They taste amazing, have the perfect texture of regular noodles.

Yumm

Sounds great! I just ordered some, and rice also

I really enjoy using oat fiber shiritaki noodles, but there is still a smidge of rubber texture that I wouldn't miss.

These have no rubbery feel at all..I had the oat fiber ones and I know what you mean.

I only had the linguine ones so far.

Thank you for the information. Pasta is one of the foods I have eliminated from my diet that I miss very much! Craving meatballs and spaghetti right about now :-). Too bad there's no low/no carb substitute for spoon size shredded wheat because that is what I really miss the most.

Did you rinse, rinse, rinse, then dry fry in pan first? It says to let it sit in sauce for a few minutes......
No rubber texture at all?

I've been using the rice for several weeks now, and really like it. I just got my Netrition order this morning with some of the penne pasta in it. I use zoodles for spaghetti and fettuccine, and spaetzle for macaroni, but haven't been able to come up with a penne pasta sub. I make my own lasagna noodles, and sometimes make spaghetti or fettuccine if I'm out of zucchini.

I rinse, but it doesn't smell as bad as the other noodles. I also take scissors and cut them up as they are long. It's best to dry or stir fry dry so the sauce sticks..

I had the fettucine in a cheese "sauce" today for lunch: I rinsed them well, then heated with a little olive oil and some Anthony's cheese powder...yum! But for me, there is still a rubber texture, at least the way I prepared them. I'm curious to try the smaller spaghetti and rice sizes.

Sharon, how do you prepare the rice, and in what kind of recipes do you use it?

We had fried Chinese rice with Miracle Rice. It was uber good.
Rinse rinse rinse, and then I squeeze a fresh lemon over all and mix,
cut and rinse. It's perfect. No taste at all, just becomes whatever you
decide it will be. Egg fu yung along with pork fried rice. Egg flower soup.
It was a LC Chinese feast.

Sunny...not as chewy as the miracle ones. I think they are al dente like.

Sunny, I make Mac and cheese with the shirataki. If you pan fry them for 6-7 minutes, the shirataki lose that rubbery texture. If they are rubbery, I know I haven't fried them enough. By the way, they shrink some during this time, so be sure not to shrink them into oblivion.

I've been using pasta from Low Carb Bread Company, Fiber Gourmet and Impastable, so I will add a bag or two of this rice to my next Netrition order. My regular pastas are great, but you can't beat 0 carbs and the low calories!

I have been desperately wanting to make Mexican rice pudding.....I'm not a fan of the miracle noodles, so purely going by everyone's advice here and taking a hit and ordering one bag of the rice version of the zeroodles...

quick question... to I buy the oat fiber ones or without??

marsha - oat fiber - yes
Barbo - LOL

I think Zeroodles are FINALLY the not noodles we've been looking for.
No weird smell. I only rinse a little bit.
I do not dry fry, lindaokc (by the way, I live in Tulsa!). Just rinse and maybe pat dry a little.

I put some of the zeroodle rice into some vanilla pudding. I'm not sure whether it was more like rice pudding or tapioca pudding, but it was good!

I got some of the penne zeroodles. Some of them were REALLY long...three inches or so. I wanted to try mac & cheese, so I took a pair of scissors and cut them into roughly half inch pieces similar to elbow macaroni. Worked fine.

Thanks, Sharon...I love tapioca, good to know how you use it.

Last night we had the spaghetti sized pasta under Linda Sue's Korean Bulkogi dish, which is marinated and then grilled. I rinsed the pasta and then "dry fried" it with the remaining marinade, a little lemon juice, Sirachi and a splash of fish sauce...delicious! The pasta did a good job of soaking up the sauce, actually turning brown in the process.

I really love these. Best part is they don’t smell. No more rinsing forever, simmering in lemon/garlic water, frying. Just rinse and dry fry briefly. I’ll be ordering a lot of them.

No smell at all, but still rubbery to us.

I SAW THE ZEROODLE item on Netrition

I will be including it on my next order. 100% fiber seems almost too good to be true. but it is worth the gamble to buy 1 pkge. then we shall see, or rather taste. Love & Profits: FLATFERENGHI
