CarolynF's Milk Recipe

Just found the sticky with this recipe:

It's pure genius!! Now days, I just use almond milk, while, where it has fewer carbs (1 for a cup of almond milk, and 4 for this recipe) the almond milk contributes a distinct flavor.

CarolyF's recipe tastes just like milk, particularly with the addition of some salt and a drop of liquid Splenda. Some times, I just crave a glass of milk. Straight almond milk will never be mistaken for its dairy cousin, but this is darned close. It's superb in béchamel sauce (thickened with glucomannan) and hot cocoa. I use the Nido whole milk powder from Walmart to make it, and the flavor is spot-on.

Wanted to give a pointer to this thread for any newbies to the board who haven't found it (I've been here almost a year, and only just stumbled across it) and a giant shout-out to Carolyn for this wonderful creation. So simple, and inexpensive. Thank you, Carolyn!

Thanks, Cat. I haven't made this for a while, but need to start making some. I do miss a glass of milk..

Good Stuff--

Been using this recipe since it was first posted years ago. Use it in my daily protein shake.

Thanks again and again, CarolynF.
