This is the recipe I used, heavily modified from two or three recipes that I found online. It is rich, sweet, tart, and smells sort of like apple butter while cooking! The cracker was a Dr. Kracker -- I make nut thins from this site with sesame seeds pressed in the top before baking, just didn't have any when I took this picture.

Sungold Tomato Jam
6 cups sungold tomatoes
3/4 cup Ideal Brown + a couple of drops of sweetzfree
6 whole cloves
2 sticks cinnamon
1 tbs aged balsamic vinegar + 1 tbs white vinegar
3 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Pulse the tomatoes briefly in a food processor until just barely broken up.
place spices in a small piece of cheesecloth or tea ball infuser with all other ingredients in a large pot and bring to a boil. Simmer, stirring frequently, for about 30-45 minutes until thick and jam-like. Ladle into sterilized jars and process for 15 minutes in a water bath.

I used cheesecloth for the spices, but next time will use a tea ball -- so much jam wound up in the cheesecloth and it was hard to squeeze it all out!

diana-- I do. Google "your lighter side cake balls" to find these. And thank you! One of the cakes in the entry is pretty bad looking, but I put it there for laughter value.

omg, oyg, oeg!!!

just going through these pages in glorious technicolor really puts me in a great frame of mind. i was very impressed with the sandwich cookies, and the pumpkin dessert. I might actually be able to do them (around TG-Xmas). These fotos really uplifted my spirit. Kudos to the creators, and the posters. Love & Profits: FLAT-still 3 ingredients or less-FERENGHI

Birgit, I am getting ready to try the eclairs on your blog -- but I was stumped by the statement about the fillings that "all the above needs to be quilled thoroughly before piping it into the éclair/profiterole" What does "quill" mean? My dh loves eclairs (and so do I), and I am very excited to try your recipe! Diana

Oh my goodness, what a great post about drying cranberries! I did a bunch last year, just "popping" the cranberries briefly, soaking them in Monin o'free syrup and drying them. They were good, but you have definitely gone the extra mile to make them colorful and plump! I have 2 bags of frozen cranberries left from last year in my freezer, so I will try your method right away. Been wondering how to sub cranberries for raisins and it sounds like you have the answer! Thanks for your generousity in sharing your recipes!
