Good morning!

20s and freezing rain/sleet coming down. They say snow should start later this morning/afternoon. Should only be about an inch of accumulation of snow. All schools and city offices are closed; and, all the cupboards are bare in the grocery stores! So funny, to see people parking all over the place trying to get into the store to pick up groceries. This whole thing is supposed to be over by tomorrow afternoon!

Hope everyone is safe and warm!

Michele

That’s funny, Michele! And my son was sending the “Texas Closed” thing to everyone in California, lol! Stay safe. It’s 5 degrees wind chill temp here. Are you super cold, or will you be tonight?

Hunker down Michele, you are not used to this cold weather.

I love your sense of humour with those funny pics.

Alas, it is presently 7F with a promise of a high of 14F this aft and just a light dusting of snow today.

My girls are enjoying the milder weather in Florida.

Waving to All and hope to check back later...

Dear me.........girls you are experiencing some horrible weather. Wow. I do not like that combination of ice and snow, yuk. Susan, you certainly have real winter up there where you are. What a winter this has been. And I loved the picture of Ella and her companion!

I'm having a mole on my back removed today. Just hope there are no surprises. I had to ask a friend to change the dressing for a few days since I can't see it, nor get to it. Ugh!
I'm driving myself, they didn't indicate I'd need a driver.

Loretta, do not read, ha. This Florida girl has a temperature right now of 57 degrees, going up to 68 today. Not warm enough but better than what could be.

Michele, enjoy your day off........I remember those surprise days off, loved them, enjoyed the shovel reference also.

Stay snuggled up ladies.

Wow, everyone is here already. The mowers woke me up from a deep sleep. It's cold here, at least 10 degrees colder than at Ginny's. The forecast for tomorrow morning is TWENTY-SIX degrees. Yikes!
Maybe I'll force myself to go out today. I'm starting to think of what clothes I'll really need for my trip...after all, it's only six months away. :-)

LOL Michele. I have a set of spoons just exactly like that. Thanks for the laugh. Guess they just closed the state.

More snow here and very cold 9º this am. Trying to keep it off my driveway now that son and Leah got the bulk of it removed. Sunshine right now.

Ginny those temps would help melt this snow. Send them on.

Susan what a lovely picture of Ella and her new friend. One thing I got for Leah was a picture frame that was shaped liked a basketball since that is her life right now.
I also got her a Willow Tree figurine.

Adding a picture from 2009 when we had an ice storm here. It left us without power for about a week. This is much better.
Some of the trees are just beautiful, ladened with soft snow.

I love snow pictures, I do miss it. The bulk of this storm went south east.

Susan, I’m thinking of how Ella must be in heaven getting to know her horse now, truly. Your temps make me think of cooking hot soups and casseroles, lol.

Ginny, good luck with the mole removal today. Gee whiz, glad you have a friend to help with the dressing of it..... another reminder. At least you don’t need sweater pants.

Julie, in some ways, it is not really not too early to plan what to pack, especially shoes. Comfort, etc. . I’m wondering what these temps are doing to farmers though, not good for them, I think they suffered several years ago, too. That must have been a shock for the mowers to start their work, I’ve had mine start at 7:30 when we had extreme heat and they wanted to get going.

Lots of school districts shut down or had late starts today. I’m glad there will be mail delivery though, need to send birthday cards out.

See you later.

Doris, the mowing company always start very early. I'm not sure what time but they get to my street about 8 a.m. Over the winter they mow the park once a month, then it goes to twice a month for a while, then, of course it's once a week all summer and the fall. They also edge and trim and then blow the street and driveways.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Slept in til 10:45 this morning.

A little better. Hope to be able to go to bookclub tomorrow. I think after a week of antibiotics, I could not be contagious anymore?

Nothing but housework type stuff planned for today.

Michelle, you made me LOL this morning, first thing.

Susan, is your GD on track for future Olympics?

Have a good one.

Babette, I hope you can go to your book club tomorrow to socialize a bit.

Our power company has asked us to lower our temps, especially tomorrow morning from 6:00 to 10:00: so there is no power outage. The extreme cold is causing a strain on the grid.

Good afternoon!

Got a snow day here! W and went out and just looked at all the snowy stuff. I took a bunch of pictures. Even saw a baby llama! (there's a llama farm here) Got back and built a little knee-high snowman with GD. Of course it is adorable.

Just staying warm and playing with the baby this afternoon.

Hey Julie, I used to live in Ormond Bch and go to Ocala sometimes. Seems like a hundred years ago. Pretty place tho.

Love Ginny's lanai .... brings back memories. I lived in FL for 24 years. My babies learned to walk on the beach. I remember my first....crawling into the surf, and I'd just turn him around the other way and he'd crawl off down the beach.

Stay warm all. Have a great day!

Hey, Michelle, how about a picture of yourself? Don't be shy!

Sunny, I've lived here since 1987. What years were you living in
Ormond Beach? Time sure flies, doesn't it!

I'm gonna' learn how to do the thumbnail thing sooner or later, darn it. Well, anyway, temperatures here today have been gorgeous. Tomorrow night a different story. And Thankyou again Michele.

Susan, Happy Hour is 5PM, come on down.

Loretta, those flowers are from Walmart.........I often buy myself flowers. I like having them around especially in the winter when we don't have much blooming.

Mole procedure went well I guess. 7 stitches inside. Glad it's over.

Babette, happy you're a bit better. Did you see where I shared your cream with a friend?

Julie... gosh it's hard to remember! I lived there around '85-88. We also lived in Daytona, then moved south...close to West Palm Beach and stayed down there for almost 20 years. I do miss the beach sometimes. But we vacation at the beach when we can. This year we plan to drive out to west Texas. I've been south, and to the Alamo...but I've not been out west yet.

Ginny, oh, am I too late for a Pina Colada with all that fancy fruit on top and a little umbrella. I can but dream up here in the snow. LOL!

Sounds like you have been through enough today with that mole removal, take a Tylenol or Advil before the freezing wears off so you will be covered for any discomfort.

So I wouldn't fret about the pic posting, leave it for another day.

Hi sorry to be getting here late. I broke part of my tooth while having a peice of jerky. My tongue is not too happy getting poked by the sharp piece left. Making a call in the morning.

Susan, Ella has a nice looking horse to enjoy through her jumping trials. Hoping for a bunch of blue ribbons.

Mindy is wanting attention resting on my arm so that’s it for now. See you all tomorrow. Night all.
