Coconut butter

I found a jar of coconut butter at Burlington for $6.99.
I am experimenting making little sweets with coconut butter, coconut oil, cream, sweetener, and flavor. Melt it all together in a little glass dish.
Yesterday I made peppermint patties in a candy mould , and today I have made something similar , omitted the peppermint and added a teaspoon of sugar free raspberry jam. Raspberry creams. So far so good.
I might try coffee creams next I have sf apricot jam too

Is the coconut butter kind of "gritty"? I bought some years ago from Tropical Traditions and really didn't like it. I'd read some people like it so much they'll eat it off the spoon, but I couldn't even mix it in things I enjoy without disliking the grittiness in my mouth.

Have seen other, very expensive brands. Wondering what all the raves are about...

TIA

The one I have isn't gritty, it's smooth and creamy. Very delicious, just off a spoon.

The brand is tropical green organics

WOE: Keto/LCHF/IF/insulin resistance reversal
I have made bread using coconut butter. Google Loving Our Guts Coconut Butter Sandwich Bread. Sometimes I get the green tinge but it still tastes good.
