Mydear do a google search and get passed the official side effects the drug companys put out and you will find forums where there are a lot of people who have stated weight gain as a side effect

Almost no loss again today. Feeling a little discouraged today. I'm 100% on plan and limit myself to meat, eggs, and cheese, so I know this has to work. In my head, I know that it's normal to slow down in the 2nd week, but still feeling a little discouraged.

Cheshire Girl ~ Celebrating with you!! Half a pound is AWESOME!!!

Straphe ~ I would bet that those couple of pounds will come right back off. Don't give up!

Julie ~ I've been thinking about adding some coconut oil too. Maybe frying my eggs in it. I keep hearing so much about it, but I'm just not sure yet.

chelseybelle27 ~ I so so want to do that!!! Not yet though, I'd probably kill myself trying to run at this weight. I know they do it on The Biggest Loser, but I'm just not sure my joints can take it! You'll be running that 5K in no time!

DQ ~ Glad you didn't get snowed in after all!

Good evening everyone

Thought I should update my menu cause it looks nothing like what I posted before

Br- bullet proof tea
Br2 - 1 lettuce wrap filled with chicken salad from lunch yesterday
L- 4 homemade low carb meatballs over about 1/2c broccoli and some canned tomatoes (maybe 1/4 c if that)
Dinner - to be decided on shortly but probably pork chop with mashed cauliflower

Need to drink more water

Just got a call from the club and they added wrong. So I actully came in third and missed second by 1.5 percent so I am one happy camper. The prize is a 300 buck credit toward anything at the club or hotel. So my wife and I cleaned up!!!

Hey, Kemp-gotta love a phone call like that!

Dad got to come home from the hospital today-he's doing really good and having a positive attitude about his amputation.

I'm getting burned out on meat and eggs a bit, and when that happens, I usually don't eat a lot.

Today I had:

L: Salad with homemade ranch, topped with grilled pork chop, and bacon
D: still full from lunch
S: 3 sausage patties

Stuck with my menu posted earlier but I skipped the green beans but I did add two snacks (2 deviled eggs and smoked Gouda slices). No oopsie rolls today! :-). I already miss them.........

cheshire -- good that you dropped .8 lbs, but is that really all that you are eating? Are you measuring and weighing your food?

Today was a snow day in the city, but the greek place around the corner, and they made me eggs and sausage. So it was two eggs -- i asked for scrambled but it was more of a really thin egg crepe with zero seasoning. and a sausage pattty with more seasonings than you can imagine. five hours later, i was SO SICK. so I really didn't feel like eating tonight. had some champagne, because the effervescence helps my stomach. STILL not hungry. You know how you stand in front of the fridge and open it, and --- although it may be filled with food, there's nothing to eat??? and can someone tell me why ricotta has so many carbs? ok ok I'll stop venting.

Total losses so far: 37 pounds in 38 days!!!

Stayed the same today. I skipped workouts yesterday and did not eat till way late and drank a lot of water. Also had to weigh in about 1.5 hours earlier than normal so all that adds up. Hope to see a whoosh tomorrow. Going to hit the gym hard today and try and eat a ton of food. My tracker is saying I am only averaging around 1250 calories a day and that is way to low. I hope with an uptick it will help. Speaking of upticks this weekend is the big family fried and boiled seafood fest down in Galveston. I have had it as a schedule cheat weekend since the start, now that it is here and I am doing so well I do not want to blow it. So going to try and not get to crazy. I love regular coke so that will be the big thing to avoid. I only drink water so no caffine in the last 38 days and it feels great. So that being said I am only going to do the fried food and not much of it. Oh and lots of beer!!! Going to try to stay away from the deserts of any kind, they always have a bake off of cakes and cookies and man that will be the hardest. I may break, I may not, but after a few beers who knows. I will let you know how I do. Other than that lets do this today and stay focused.

kizz thanks for the flavored vodka info. i can't imagine bacon flavored vodka? i heard that one of them-- one of the cheaper brands- actually has quite a few carbs. will research today!
kemp - i never eat desserts either- last serious go-round on atkins I did make some cheesecakes, which were actually delicious. Try this brain trick when you look at the desserts -- how many of them are made with things out of a box or can? That narrows it down a LOT, right? then only eat desserts made with so much love or skill that the flour is hand-milled, and the baker traveled to Sumatra to procure the chocolate, and of course the whip cream was made by hand (i actually have an isi whipped creamer and it's terrific!). Anyway, that will narrow down your choices that much more! ha.

I started High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) last night on the elliptical, basically a 5 minute warm up, and on the end of every other minute I ramped up the intensity for 20 seconds, and then slowed down to recover. I did that for 25 minutes including the warm up and then added another 20 minutes of cardio on the elliptical. I know all this hard working out is making the scale not my best friend, but I feel REALLY good so I am going to keep it up. Soon it will pay off, whether thats in inches or lbs lost! Tonight is day 2 of week 1 of couch to 5k. I am surprisingly looking forward to it!

Congrats to all the "losers" and hang in there to everyone else, I know how frustrating it is!!

Finally into the 180's. I haven't seen that number since last Easter when I started gaining weight from easter candy. I had taken all my baby weight off (I only gained 14 lbs with my preg. since the doctor had me on a low carb diet) and then started eating the kids easter candy and put it all back on. Anyway, I am just so happy to even see the 189 at this point! Every single pound has been such a fight, I really don't get it. It must be my age, because when I did this ten years ago, it was effortless, and the pounds melted away twice as fast. Now it seems I lose one gain it back, lose one gain it back, seems like I'm losing the same pound over and over. But I know that's not true. I have to be more patient, but today it was nice to see the 180's again! My clothes fit so nice, my skinny jeans look great, and I have no tummy anymore. It kind of feels weird, actually....lol

Also found out that it's cream cheese that stalls me or makes me gain, I tend to be ok with small amounts of regular cheese. I think it's just all the extra calories in the cream cheese. Too bad because those mini cheese cakes I make where amazing! Now I'm feeding them to my 14 month old son. He loves them

kizz, looks like you will definitely make your March goal! That is awesome!

So I got super excited about my weight loss and went to Anthropologie at 10am to look at clothes. I have been wearing maternity clothes for so long, and before that, the same 3 outfits (1 pant being maternity pants I've worn since 2008). Anyways I tried on a shirt and jeans (ok I am still confused by the skinny jean look). And thought I looked pretty alright! The jeans were super expensive, so I doubt I'll buy them. But I might buy the shirt as a reward. Anyways just had to share!

Hey DQ Yes that really is all I'm eating - I've trimmed and trimmed to try to initiate a loss and then realised it maybe the Omeprazole - I really hope I'm right and now that I have stopped taking them I can start to lose. I don't weight my food but I do measure my HWC. My salad is always large and when I have an omelette I always have 3 eggs. Any advice?

What the heck! Now I'm getting frustrated. I'm 100% on plan. I'm mostly just eating eggs, tuna, and small amounts of mayo and cheese. Drinking lots of water. Why is the scale not moving??? Grrrrrr.......

Kizz: 1. 189 way to go. Age is a huge factor in this game we play. 10 years ago I did this for my golden shot and lost 70 pounds in 60 days and barely did 20 minutes on a exercise bike 3 times a week. I even had 20 carbs a day. Now, well you know I have to VLC, crazy workouts and count calories if I want to lose the same way.

NIcki: You will break through I promise,

chelsey: HIITT sounds good and sounds like it will pay off big time in the end.

DQ: I will try that with the deserts this weekend. Family is already in town and going to meet them after my workout for a beer and dinner tonight. No cheating on food till Saturday is what I keep saying to myself.

Roxy:147 sounds awesome, new clothes are in your future.

Chesire:
All those 100 percent days will pay off and add up to a great whoosh soon.

Mothergoose: Stay with it, it will happen sometimes the body just holds on to water in the fat cells and then a dip in the scale will happen.

Going to dinner after workout with family peeps, will enjoy a mich ultra or two and then back home for a early workout in the am and hope to see 236 before the big weekend of debauchery!!!! Actully cannot wait until sunday night to work out at the gym and get back in the zone. I am signing up for some Mud runs and other fun races to keep something in my mind to not get crazy and gain it back.

OMG!!! Where has this thread been? I need to be posting here as well as the other 4 threads I visit daily. I'm on day 2.

Mar 6 - 181.8
Mar 7 - 180.8

I was afraid to workout during induction. I've always worked out, but I kept reading working out will make you stall. Kemp, you have inspired me! I will be getting my sweat on in the morning.
