Carolyn! Thank you.

Thanks, Linda, for such sweet, kind words. Hope your day is great too.

Char, my friend - easiest is to find the podcast link on my blog - the latest post.

I made a big gaff - called regular coke diet coke (caused Kent Altena (Bowulf) who was running at the time and listening to laugh out loud) and I think in one or two spots I couldn't remember stuff too clearly, but other than that it was okay, I think.

Jimmy was actually very nice to talk to in person. We chatted a bit upfront because we tried talking on the regular phone and there was this echo, so we switched to skype (the quality of the sound must have bugged Jimmy (the musician amongst other things) a bit, but after all we're in the deepest jungle (a rain forest - we're almost through the rainy season and we're all more than ready for the dry season) on a mountain, however, with ADSL high speed internet - pretty cool). He actually caught me by surprise an hour early because Ian had figured out the times incorrectly. We had just had someone over for morning coffee and muffins (mostly retired folks around here) and I'd walked our sweet, adopted dog, Smiley, down at the river . I thought I still had an hour to pull myself together for the interview.

Oh, a funny story (kinda) - you know you can vote for the podcasts, if you like - there are stars at the top, but whichever star you click on, that's the vote you are giving.

Well, I know my sweet DH, Ian, wanted to give me 10 out of 10 stars. He accidently clicked on star #5 and I watched the star votes fall dramatically. He felt so bad but no harm done as some other kind folks brought the stars back up again by this morning. Once one has voted, the program remembers the IP address of the home, so Ian could not fix it from his computer. My sons thought it was funny. Waaah!

I voted to help bring it back up again, Jen! Poor Ian, he must feel terrible about doing that!

GREAT to hear your voice too!

Thanks Char and Sue. I'll be MIA for a day. We're going to the city. Thanks again. So nice to have friends, you know. I'm not a gregarious, outgoing sort of person most of the time, being somewhat reclusive, so having internet friends really makes up for what I lack in real life.

I'm sitting here wondering if Jen is going to sound like I think she will.

Jen, I hope you enjoy your time in the city!

Great interview. You sound just like the sweet, very British person you display in your blog. Love the accent. BTW, I have enjoyed your son's novel-just finished it today-thanks. Anne

Ohh, Linda - that would be awesome too!! In all honesty though, I can understand how you're feeling. I'd be scared half out of my mind.

Linda, I know how you must feel, I think I would be scared also. But you, like Jennifer, have so much to talk about and there may be people who do not know about you that would get some good from it. Plus, he seems so nice to talk to - I'm sure he would make it easy for you. Anyway, you have a lot of fans here that would love to hear you in person - including me!

You sounded just like you look...pretty and sweet.

It was really fun to sit and listen to you.

My vote will count as well. I thought Jimmy was a good

I want to thank you all so much for your support. You guys are the best - truly the best!! You're kind, unselfish and supportive of each other and everyone. I'm blessed to be a part of LCF's.

I was just telling my friend (also a low-carb cookbook author) today that I find my "radio" voice difficult to listen to without feeling a little embarrassed. My voice is too high and squeaky, I told her and she told me her voice sounds old and scratchy (by the way her voice is a perfect radio voice). Why are we so hard on ourselves sometimes? lol

Waah, Christina, 5 stars is great for a hotel, but not for an interview that is out of 10 - that's barely a passing grade and from one of my biggest fans! It's seems DH started some kind of epidemic. However, it is a bit comical. I will always remember this story.

Thanks, Anne. I am of British decent but actually very South African and that's the accent you probably picked up on (it does sound a little like it could be British or Australian, which is what some people often think it is). I couldn't shake it even after almost 30 years in Canada. I speak Afrikaans (Dutch dialect) fluently as I went to bilingual schools when I was growing up. Jonathan's follow-up novel, due out in a few weeks, really develops the charaters and it is exciting from the minute one starts reading. It is a better book than the first. The reason is that initially both books were one book and Jon decided at the end of writing to split it into two books - it was just too long!

SmileySue, did I sound like I am supposed to? Hope you were not disappointed.

Char, Barbo, Linda, rrrhan, Judy, Pooti, Pat and Linda Sue, thank you so much for your kind words. It's this sweet acceptance that is really the catalyst to keep me motivated to keep working until I'm really old and gray - getting there!

Linda, I was nervous too, but you can do it. I haven't done radio since I was in my thirties! Just get yourself into the right frame of mind and speak as if you are chatting to your friend - well, Jimmy is your friend! LOL I'd love to hear your story too, and I'm sure everyone on LCF's would really like that.

SmileySue - phew, that is a relief!

Robyn, your comment that I made you feel more comfortable using Splenda as a sweetener made my day. I put your comment underneath the podcast to make a point. Thanks.

Thank you, Sheryl.
