I think the most important thing about mixing low-carb and JUDDD is to stay low carb on the Up Days.

If I get too carby, that makes the following Down Day a struggle as my blood sugar comes back from the peak and drop.(Although, less so the longer I have been low-carb. My body gets better about dealing with a one-off carb situation. But a whole day, or two, of carbs? Trouble.)

And my favorite kind of Down day is fasting. But a good low-carb Down Day for me is 4oz of salmon, with 1t mayonaise, three times a day. That gives 60g of protein, 11g of fat, and about 3-6g carbs, for under 400 calories.
