Not turkey jerky . . but microwaved turkey "niblets" are somewhat jerky-like in texture, and make good mini-dippers. Turkey franks are sliced with a Presto Professional SaladShooter (6 franks will fit in feed chute) and pressure cooked for around 10 minutes to reduce sodium. One dehydration method is to place some niblets on an 8" paper plate, cover with a weighted paper towel to contain pop and splatter, and microwave for 2-3 minutes. The weight in these images is a sawed-off top rim of an old tupperware-type container, and does not hinder steam migrating up through the paper towel. The Bar-S turkey franks leave almost no melted fat residual, as compared to a significant amount from Jennie-O turkey franks. The microwaved niblets also make a good portable snack (movie theater munchies) . . one carry option is a travel bar-soap hinged-lid holder.
