When I first started Atkins, I too thought that calories didn't matter. But I found the more weight I lost, that keeping just carb counts low wasn't enough; I had to start "limiting" my calorie count too.

I say "limiting" because currently anything under about 2400 calories (along with 30 to 40 carbs) seems to work. But when I drift closer to 2800 calories, it doesn't matter what the carbs are, I won't lose weight.
