I have a sincere question about this cholesterol topic.

If you are eating as healthfully as you can, and you have no intention of taking statin drugs, why listen to these doctors' BS about various cholesterol numbers and issues? Why even see a doctor for this reason?

I really don't understand the constant going to doctors for these tests and then having to argue with them about what the results mean. Especially since many on here know more than most doctors about the intricacies of the data, and the doctors are just following their computer-generated protocols.

I'm in my 70's and I don't care what my cholesterol is; I eat LC so my triglycerides should be as good as possible right now, although they should improve as I continue to lose weight.

If I wanted these tests done, I would probably go to an independent lab, where my results would be given directly to me.
