sweet and sour chicken wings

Sweet & Sour Chicken Wings

1 cup sugar substitute
1 cup Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup Ketchup (low sugar)
2 Tablespoons of reduced sodium soy sauce
1 packet lipton onion-mushroom soup mix
20 wings pieces

place first 5 ingredients in sauce pan and cook until sugar has melted. Lay wings out in a 9x13 pan and pour sauce over them. Bake at 375 for 45 min. to 1 hour. After they were done I removed the chicken and used glucomanan to thicken the sauce.

My husband asked me to make them 3 nights in a row, so the second night I took the left over sauce and added 1/2 cup sugar substitute, 1/2 cup cider vinegar, 1/4 cup low carb ketchup. The third night I just used the left over sauce and didn't add anything to it. I buy the frozen wings in the bag. One bag was enough for 2 days.

I know the onion mushroom soup mix has 16 carbs for 1 pack but over 3 days that's a pretty good deal and you still never eat all the sauce.

You can also make them in a crock pot, I believe they take about 21/2 -3 hours on low.
