I agree with her going gluten free. It won't hurt anything at all. It will be healthier also. Anytime I have gluten accidentally I take Benadryl and it actually relieves some of the abdominal discomfort along with the other allergic symptoms like fluid retention and swelling, probably because the stomach pain is an allergic reaction to the gluten. It does seem to help me.
