Average heart rates are between 60-90 beats per minute. Weight loss seldom changes your base rate. There are very thin people with low rates, and very thin people with high rates. The BEST thing that you can do for your heart is to instill some type of aerobic programming. Regular cardio or running can (but not always) lower your HR.

btw, my resting rate is 48, but I do a great deal of work with a rowing machine...........
