The Beck Diet Solution Weight Loss Workbook
 
I'm using this in conjunction with Atkins. It has helped me change my thinking about food, dieting, and exercise. I got it for 6 bucks at Amazon. I didn't buy the main book, just this workbook.

The workbook is for 6 weeks. Each day has a list of things for me to complete and check off, things like:

I read my list of reason to lose weight.
I scheduled exercise and dieting activities on my daily schedule
I ate everything slowly and mindfully while sitting down

I have found this workbook to be extremely helpful. :cool:

I was getting her email for a while; powerful, useful concepts. The best thing I do now is to eat and focus solely on the experience, looking at the food in front of me, eating healthful food displayed in an attractive manner. It really makes me feel more full when I "see" and/or focus on my food when I'm eating it. No more, working/writing/doing 2 things at once and wondering where my food went (not noticing I ate it already, and feeling hungry still). :jumpjoy:

I have the book and the workbook. I have found them somewhat helpful in the past, but I have to make sure I do read (and follow the suggestions) everyday.

Thanks to this post I picked up mine that I never started and am using it as of today to support me in my LC journey and to learn a way of maintaining my weight once I reach goal.

My problem is not losing weight, it's learning new thought patterns so I can maintain my weightloiss. I'm hoping this workbook will help and I'm not sure why I've never started it before....

Maybe we could start a challenge? And be our diet buddies? (the book suggests getting a buddy)
