Great Book
 
I am a lurker as you can see by my post count but wondered why no one ever mentions the book Lights Out (Sleep, Sugar and Survival) by TS Wiley

He mentions Dr Atkins in the book but goes much deeper into artificial light, engineered foods and how it is killing us.

I just finished it and it was the first book I read since the Atkins book that blew my mind.

In my opinion, the hypothesis behind the book is intriguing but the book is rather horribly written and edited. Terrible to read and doesn't have much in the way of references.

I would skip the book and just read the research about our evolutionary sleep patterns rather than muddle through this book. Basically we should be trying to get 9 hours of sleep per night in a totally dark room and going by our natural rhythm (go to sleep right after sunset, wake up at sunrise).

The idea is logical and interesting; the presentation of it isn't.

Already sitting in my stack of books to be read. I'll get to it in due time, there's a few more I want to hit up first.
