Has anyone read Living Low-Carb: The Complete Guide to Long Term Low-Carb Dieting ?
Curious to get the LCF take on this book, if anyone has read it.

I guess no one has read it.
I'm getting it from the library. They have it on the web for less than a dollar, but I'd rather not spend the money on shipping if it's not really going to be helpful. I'll post a review to this thread. |

Is it the one by Jonny Bowden? If so, I have it. I haven't read it all the way thru just skimmed (my mom buys every low carb book she see while at garage sales)
From the little I have read it seems to recap most of the lower carb diets and gives the histoy of low carb. |

I just read it. It was definitely worth reading if you can get it from the library. It had some new information in it, even if you've read DANDR a thousand times and read Protein Power. The recipes looked pretty good and a lot were very low carb. I hate low carb cookbooks where one serving of a dish is "only" 26 grams of carbs. The author is a cookbook writer and food writer, so she certainly has dealt with serious challenges to staying on a low carb diet. Her son is a Type I diabetic, so she really gets how important accurate information and sticking to the low carb WOE is.
I'm going to reread it and decide whether to get a used copy or not. |
