King Corn
I'm not really sure which forum would be best for this topic.
If you want a good idea of the myriad ways corn has been inserted into our lives, watch this movie. It's an independent film, available through Netflix, and with a most interesting website. I'd strongly urge all of you to watch this film and visit the website. King Corn It's thought provoking, infuriating, and entertaining. |

It's definitely worth watching, along with Food, Inc, Fathead and Sweet Misery--all available through netflix.

Sweet Misery probably saved my life. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but let's just say I was diagnosed with the beginning stages of MS before seeing that film. After watching the film, I stopped all aspartame that day and have never looked back. Slurred speech, gone; bad balance, gone; numbness in half of my face, gone; loss of words, gone. If I hadn't stopped, I have no doubts I would be in a terrible place today neurologically. I have the MRI's to prove it.
