The End of Overeating by D. Kessler

This is such a great book on why Americans hypereat. It all has to do with sugar, fat, and salt and the combinations thereof.

It is a very thought provoking book on why cravings happen and how to control them.

He does give kudos to a LC diet helping to control certain "cravings". Albeit, only one sentence.

Why makes LCers "hypereat"? is a question that we should ask ourselves. Is this the same sweet taste, fat, and salt that non-LCer hypereaters crave?

I think this is a very interesting question and a very interesting book for all of us..

I heard him on a talk show on NPR recently and was disappointed in how he just kept repeating the same thing over and over again. He had nothing to say about how to solve the problem - only kept repeating the mantra of sugar, salt, fat. Does his book present solutions? Is he more articulate in writing? On the show, he had about 10 minutes of intelligent points to make, then he just kept saying the exact same thing over and over, even when the host tried to get him to enlarge on his thesis.

I am getting it in the mail today from Amazon. I have always been interested in how we become addicted to certain foods and why. This will shed light on it. More after I read the book.
