Fawn...What is your take on codex alimentarius?

There's some scary stuff going on.
Not sure if the stuff they say about it is true but I wanted your thoughts on codex alimentarius.

Hi Peter
I think it's scary. very scary. Imagine not having access to your supplements, having to have a prescription written for something like Centrum "if the dr. thinks you need it"

It gives big pharma even more money and it takes your health choices away. And the cost? oh my!! Let me give you an example! My daughter had a Vitamin D test, found out she's deficient, she is on state assistance right now and this Rx is $35. She can't afford that and it's not covered so I went to the vitamin shoppe and picked up some D3 over the counter for her at a fraction of the price.

We can't accept this. It then gets into too much gmo food, etc.

Thanks Fawn for that link! I had watched the Dr. on another site, and now have access to more info about the Codex problem.

I do think that we could lose our access to supplements at some point, which is scary. I'm sure big pharma would love to remove our supplements and push more drugs on us. And the FDA is loaded with pharma puppets.

However, I think Dr. Rima Laibow and her hubby, retired Gen. Stubblebine (of remote viewing fame) are forming a cult and that's what they are really about. It may be a mind control experiment. I get their breathless emails all the time asking for more money for being attacked, having to go to meetings that no one else seems to know about, investing in their project in Panama, and yesterday finallly suggesting that we move to their "eco project" in Panama to escape swine flu vaccines and possible incarceration for refusal.

No, I won't say any more about it. You can believe it or not, look into it or not. Just want people to keep their eyes open when dealing with this organization.

Sounds like Jim Jones.

The supplement industry is a fairly powerful lobby. Take a company like our dear host, Netrition, for example.

Are they going to lie down and allow the government to regulate them out of business?

Ah, no.

Not all pharmaceutical companies are bad. I'd be dead without my prescriptions, and I'd probably take out a few other people along the way!

Who sounds like Jim Jones and who is drinking his kool-aid? And who thinks it's funny that innocent kids died that day? And if Jim Jones could happen on this planet along with many other atrocities daily, then couldn't just about anything happen? Haven't there been people on this planet who will do anything to anybody to make a profit?

I like to keep an open mind and not just stick my head in the sand, making senseless and tasteless jokes.

A good question was posed here about harmonization of laws between countries by the WTO possibly affecting our supplements. Unfortunately, our media is not covering it, and the main organization howling about it is not trustworthy, so I am not sure what to think. I do hope it's not sneaking up on us. Our government already allows things like MSG and aspartame in our food, and have approved many deadly drugs like Vioxx and Phen-Fen in the past, so that shows there is no real drive to protect our health.

I'm aware that Fawn was being asked the question, but I assume that since it was not in a PM it is fair game for debate.
