People believe what they truly want to Eliza.......All you can do is share and live in the safest manner and don't discount something so quickly. Though, should one decide to discount something, references are always much more productive than a personal opinion.

Sorry if I misunderstood what you were trying to say. I just felt that perhaps another example would have been more appropriate.

Maybe some of those articles do not go all the way to be 100% scientific in their approach, but they shine a light on this problem nevertheless. Having detectable levels of medications (not just residue) in our water supply is a problem that will continue to grow and become more dangerous to living things. Having this issue discussed in the mainstream media is important.
