I am jealous--you actually got to meet him? He is like my hero!! Seriously, my hubby would attest to that. Anyway, what I did was temporary to get rid of the mastitis and yeast I picked up when I had my c-section. I did the diet--but added in yogurt (plain but with added AS) with strawberries every day for lunch. I had eggs for breakfast or a protein shake and then for dinner it was meat and veggies. I tried my best to avoid the yeasty things--no mushrooms, mayo, cheese and the like. What I did to follow his "plan" as I would call it is to use the supplements he recommended. I used the Natren brand of Probiotics, the Cass Ingram brand of oil of oregano (I forgot which company he represents!) and All-One for my multivitamin. I also included coconut oil in my regime. Once my most pressing problems went away I haven't been so strict. I got down to my prepregnancy weight quite quickly after giving birth but did it by eating hardly anything. Once my appetite picked back up, once I started to feel much better, my weight picked back up too!!
Sadly, I don't follow the plan now. I haven't for a while. I am weakwilled and not motivated to try and lose weight. I think I am low carb about 90% of the day. I have a big problem with chocolate and sweets. They call to me!! I try to limit it to after dinner ala carb addict's plan but sometimes I have it more often. I have 4 kids and a hubby that feels that they shouldn't suffer while I am "dieting". I am checking up with my new thyroid doctor to see if that is what is up. I believe I have a thyroid problem that has gone unchecked for years and that is what my problem is. I should get my test results back this week and I am very excited.
