ISO of book on the Mental Issues of Eating

I am looking for a book that addresses more of the why we eat and why we eat what we eat. I read Mindless Eating and really enjoyed it. But more to re-train the way we think of food and our weight. Anyone have any good ideas.

Hi Maria!

One of the books I'd recommend is called 'The Rules of Normal Eating' by Karen R. Koenig, LICSW, M. ED.

In my opinion it's informative, insightful and gives a practical point of view on eating and tips to help each person eat in a balanced way.

Thanks I just picked this up from the library. I just finished reading "When you Eat at the Fridge Pull Up a Chair" and "It was Me vs. Food and I Won".
I liked When you Eat at the Fridge Pull Up a Chair" better the second seemed more towards binging and I am more of a YoYo'er than a binger.

You know, I saw "When You Eat at The Fridge, Pull Up A Chair" the last time I was at the bookstore. It looked interesting. The only reason I didn't buy it is because I am more of an emotional eater as opposed to a binger.

Anyway, please post again and share your thought on 'The Rules of Normal Eating'.
