I read up on it and I think it sounds terrible.
It sounds like a lot of the bad advice that is flying around (such as eat low fat, eat lots of soy, go vegan).I will grant that it has a catchy title. ![]() |

I started to read it, then realized it was a vegetarian diet book and stopped, I was a little mad that I spent the money on it. Nothing on the out side said anything about it being a vegetarian diet.

You can read a lot of it on google if you do a google book search and preview the book.
Parts of it sounded interesting but I don't care for the language they use through out it, and I don't agree with some of the things the authors have to say. |

It is crass, it is soy based very low fat. There are several valid points but you all know them.....

I don't have a great deal of respect for anyone who refers to others as f------ idiots. Definitely in bad taste. Humiliation is not a way to get your point across now is it? You can have my copy if you would like it. |

I just finished reading it, it just angered me. It was vulgar and rude. It's a book basically about trying to convert you into a vegan. I won't let my little sister read it, it will confuse her and cause an eating disorder. i don't recommend this book...

I read it. Don't waste your time. First, the authors are meat haters - they give gruesome details on how cows, pigs, chickens are kept and then killed to feed people. The details make you sick. The authors put down anyone who eats meat and/or low carb. They are all about organic, soy, carbs. This book is extreme. There are better books out there.

I believe it's the only book I've every thrown in the trash rather than recycling it.
As Rebecca said....don't waste your time or money. |

I listened to an interview with one of the writers-- and this question came up; "Have you always been thin? Are your parents thin?"
Well, guess what the answer was? You got it-- the interviewee had to admit that she has been thin all her life, and so was her mom. In other words, genetic. And, actually-- I know a lot of fat Vegans and Vegetarians. |

Me too. I can think of two off the top of my head who are morbidly obese, in fact, and who have told me I'm going to die from doing Atkins. Okay, ladies. Whatever. Twinkies are vegetarian, but that doesn't mean you should live on them. |

I was vegetarian for almost 3 years. I ended up fat and I swear that is what blew up my thyroid! That was over 10 years ago and I'm still trying to lose weight and regulate my thyroid! I pitched this book after reading the first chapter!

I was shocked when I started reading it. Actually, I listened to the book first and the language was shocking to me.
I did like the book, but I naturally prefer to eat a whole grain, plant based vegetarian diet, anyway. It's not about the ethics for me; I just have a real dislike for meat and eating too much fat upsets my stomach. I didn't like how the authors advocate a junk food vegan diet, though. |

I wanted to read the book to find out what the hub bub was about. Vulgar, disturbing in its graphic details, and not at all helpful.
The Flexitarian Diet is much much better. |
