Anyone ever read "Skinny B***h"?

It's big on college campuses now so I read my daughter's copy. A lot of the stuff sounds reasonable though I know I could never be that extreme in my eating!

I read up on it and I think it sounds terrible. It sounds like a lot of the bad advice that is flying around (such as eat low fat, eat lots of soy, go vegan).

I will grant that it has a catchy title.

I started to read it, then realized it was a vegetarian diet book and stopped, I was a little mad that I spent the money on it. Nothing on the out side said anything about it being a vegetarian diet.

Yes I read it and wasn't impressed. I didn't enjoy it at all.

You can read a lot of it on google if you do a google book search and preview the book.
Parts of it sounded interesting but I don't care for the language they use through out it, and I don't agree with some of the things the authors have to say.

look at the reviews on amazon before you buy it. It is a vegan manifesto under the guise of a diet book.

I figured that the title was a reflection of another low fat mantra. I'd be pretty cranky if I was that hungry too.

It is crass, it is soy based very low fat. There are several valid points but you all know them.....
stay off the diet soda and eliminate all artificial sugars.
exercise
eat your vegetables
try to buy as much organic produce as you can

I own the book. I was briefly a vegan. It is full of a lot of curse words and they call people who do Atkins idiots. So I would say that you should save your money.

Thanks.

Reading a vulgar cookbook is not my cup of tea.
Obviously she has a limited vocabulary.

Both will be crossed off my want list immediately.

I don't have a great deal of respect for anyone who refers to others as f------ idiots. Definitely in bad taste. Humiliation is not a way to get your point across now is it?

You can have my copy if you would like it.

Not likely since even reading the word cr*p frequently bores me.
