I wanted to say there are books I have to nibble on too..... mostly Depok Chopras...he is too intelligent for me. I love him though and cool he was my mil medical doctor in Boston before he was famous.

Di I love a book I can't put down. It's like having a free passport to carry you off on to another world, another mindset and so relaxing. I guess because it puts us in the NOW and turns off all the other noise, is the reason that it is so relaxing. It gives us permission to just be. Di your friends can join in any time if they want to add to anything in here. I would love to meet them.

I thought it was good tonight and the 90 minutes flew by. I always ask a question but I imagine many do and they don't get answered. Di good talking to you after the class.

Roxanne me too. i ended up not having time to listen to chapt 4 but went ahead with the webcast....seems i 'get it' best from the webcast anyway!!!

Queeny and i were wondering if Eckhart had kids.
lol I can just see him with a toddler exhibiting a temper tantrum

E: yes well you are wanting to eat only candy and not your vegetables. that is ok. it is the nature of the ego to want. so as long as you are aware that it is just the ego that is doing the wanting and not your true self then that is good.

kid: Wahhhhhhnnnn me want candy nao!!!!

sorry i got carried away!

OMG di u crack me up so bad!!!!!!!!!!! You did that well and must be a good student. Now tell me how I am supposed to get over losing my fish in my pond today. I sat there telling myself to apply the principals I have learned while I had crocodile tears running down my face. I tried to seperate myself from the ego. I had no control over my sadness.

Qbabe I am new at being the student sugh. i think if you can get into the conciousness of now, so that there is no such thing as time, or separateness; the place where you and the fish are one with the all, the I AM. then that is where there is no pain.
Of course it is one thing and easy for me to tell about it, but if i were in your shoes i dont know if i could actually DO that. that is the hard part.

Di I don't have a clue what EFT is. Is that something to do with tapping that you have mentioned? I don't have a clue what tapping is either.

I'm doing better today about the fish and I am glad the bodies have been removed. I asked phil where he put the fish and then said never mind I don't want to know. (we had already had garbage pickup) The tears have stopped just have a feeling in the pit of my stomach. I was hoping for some babies this spring as they were finally old enough to make some. I went in to work today on my day off to get my mind off of it.

I thought it was pretty good. The first lady that skyped in - the way that she described her sister sounded like my sister. The advice that Eckhart gave her reassured me that I have been doing the right thing, and that is not to get swept up in her drama.

Queeny, babe, I am so far behind with my reading and viewing the webcast, but today I finally viewed chapter 3. I understand what you are saying about grieving your koi, as I have been grieving the loss of my Toby dog. It saddens me further to think that is my ego.

i think our ego can be very helpful tools in getting us to survive our human experience. i believe that just because an emotion we feels comes from our ego doesn't make it bad. it's what we do with it and what we allow our ego to do with it that counts. kinda like fear.......you feel it you know it's there and you overcome it......

hi friends

Sorry about being mia for awhile. As Di, Michele and lucki know from our Banata thread that I have had a rough go of it for a couple of weeks. I am really far behind and I find it interesting that many folks have kind of taken a break around chapter 3. I listen to XM radio and have the Oprah and friends soul series on quite a lot. (even will be on more since I got xm radio for the house for my birthday) I like Di find that listening is really enjoyable.

my heart is happy to see we have a new friend Kris A. welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michele I have released the sadness from losing my Koi. I am sad but no longer grieving. I have moved on from it. I have not moved on from losing my bird though, which happened over a year ago. I understand about Toby. Some pets are like soul mates. I hope you don't think I am a nut but I so hope upon my death my precious Mikey is waiting for me. I am looking forward to reuniting with her even though I hope it's not a long time to come.
