I'd much rather cook with it or eat shirataki noodles than use it in capsule form like a supplement. |

I had much better luck using a wire whip and beating in the gluc. powder (scant 1 teaspoon) into about 1 1/2 cup cold broth before adding the rest (1 quart total) and heating.
Thanks for the help. I've alread reordered, afraid that my experiments will run me short! |

I want to make konnayaku jelly candies but I can't find the us conversion for the measurements. Does anyone know what the conversion would be for the recipe below?
# 10 g konnyaku powder # 180 g sugar # 700 ml water (portion 1) # 200 ml water (portion 2) # different food coloring 1. 1 Boil the water (portion 1) with low heat. 2. 2 mix konnyaku power and sugar together. mix well with a wooden spoon. 3. 3 add the mixture into the simmering boiling water and bring to boil again. mix well till the power & sugar dissolved completely. 4. 4 after boiling, add in the remaining portion of the water & bring to boil again. 5. 5 divide the mixture into 2 or more portions and add in your desired colours. 6. 6 fill into mould of different shapes or sizes & leave it to cool. 7. 7 (if u prefer a cold jelly, put them inside a refrigerator for 3-4hrs).

Thank you so much Carolyn. I knew someone here would know the answer. I kept trying to google it but I didn't know how to word it and all I could get was the answer in decimal pounds. Still I think I'm going to need a scale to make the candy.

LOL..Georgene..I rewatched it yesterday..And I liked the way he sprinkled the powder in a plate, then water over it..I think that is a good way to do it.That man works in a hospital..
His kitchen is rather unappetizing, I'm afraid. I am going to try the pickling lime with the capsules today to see what happens..Hope Wallie carries it. |

Which explains why so many people get sick while in the hospital!
![]() I have tried for some time to get pickling lime at Wallie, and have yet to find it (it's been a few months that I have been looking for it). So maybe if you find it, you could tell me which department you found it in? |

Hmmm..I am going to look in the canning section..Or I might try my other regular grocery store, too. Peeps can stuff around here all the time.

I had read on many sites yesterday that the pickling lime just makes the noodles/candies firmer. Many sites recommended just using about 1/2 teaspoon lime juice. Last edited by maru2; 02-15-2011 at 08:36 AM.. |

I bought the supplements on Sat and yesterday took one an hour before lunch and haven't eaten since yesterday at lunch. I have never done this before unless I was if-ing. I will try it again. I have felt so satiated.

Can someone tell me the proportions to make gluc jell? I would add it to puddings and to soups.
I'm having trouble with it "gluing" up in my Bullet. I even had it glue up enough to unscrew the lid. I need help! |

I made me some glu pudding today. I added about half a packet of SF single to go cherry wylers drink mix and this reminds me of jello with cool whip mixed in before it is set. I like it!
