NoSugarShell....I think you just need to scale down the ingredients. I used a smaller pan (12 inch) and had to cook it 10 minutes longer...it did get crispy, but not thin....if I cut the ingredients by 1/3, i'm sure i'll be on the money.

Mike's Easy Low Carb Wrap Pizza

Here's a recipe that I am gonna take credit for since I made it on my own using a low carb wrap (any Brand) and a BBQ. Sounds like a wierd combo right. Fire up the grill on high. spread 2 or 3 TBS of your favorite jar sauce over the wrap (check carb content). Add 1/2 cup of shredded low fat mozz. cheese, a teaspoon of garlic powder, a TBS of olive oil drizzled over the top, and a tablespoon of oregano (important if you are from New York). Make sure you assemble the pizza rather quickly to avoid a soggy mess. Place the assembled Pizza on the grill with high heat. cook for approx 10 minutes....check and rotate as neccessary be careful not to burn. Once the cheese is bubbling, it is done. Take a pizza cutter, and cut 8 slices....it will be the best "thin" crust pizza you ever had...and the easiest to prepare. By the way, I have a 6.5 inch wide spatula that works great with this recipe.

Serves 8
Crust only:
Per Serving: 176 Calories; 14g Fat; 12g Protein; 1g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 1g Net Carb

Topped with 1/4 cup pizza sauce, 4 ounces mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, 1/2 cup cooked Italian sausage, 4 ounces mushrooms, 1/4 cup green peppers:
Per Serving: 271 Calories; 21g Fat; 18g Protein; 3g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 2.5g Net Carbs

Fat content can be lowered if using low fat cheese. I doubt non-fat would work here

NancyElle,
My wife and I just finished our first Pizza---WOW----I used version II (Part Chedder). This is the first Pizza I have had in years. I will wait a couple of days before I make version III. Maybe I won't-- breakfast perhaps.

This is recipe number 1 from this web site. Home run--Thanks again and again.

It was WONDERFUL! My husband loved it, too! He said it tasted like "regular ol' pizza". I used 2 cups of mozzarella and 1 cup cheddar, and followed the rest of the recipe as stated originally. For my toppings, I used breakfast sausage (cut into tiny pieces), chopped onion, chopped bell pepper (and had sauteed both beforehand), pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. Oh, and I used about 1/4 cup of Pizza Quick Sauce (homemade style - 5 carbs for 1/4 cup).

Here's my crust:

And....the finished product: (got the edges a little too brown, but they were still good that way)

I ate two pieces and was extremely satisfied, and Hubby ate 4 pcs.

Thanks, so much, for this recipe!

This seems similar to the deep dish pizza I make, except with a thin crust. Never thought of trying it, but I will now! The deep dish one has been one of our favorite meals, and now I'm sure the thin crust will be, too. Yummmmmmmm pizza!

Made this again today, and it was just as delicious as last time! My husband says I'm trying to make him fat. I said, "No, I'm gonna make you skinny." He has FINALLY started to take a liking to my way-of-eating, and has been trying to do more low-carbing these days. He used to fuss at me about how much fat I'm eating, but now that I'm losing weight again....he's decided to follow my lead. This pizza is THE BOMB and I'm so thankful for the recipe!
