I like the mayo ones for sweets (I just put a little butter and 0 carb syrup on them) but CANNOT STAND them for savory things. I can only do oopsies for that. The mayo ones actually make me feel ill if I try to use them a burger bun or anything like that Glad you made that oopsie Cleo

bun fetish people unite!

choconut, I've never used a stone, no!

Tecno-- I have some chipotle mayonnaise I might try sometime if the mood hits. I might try making only one egg's worth and see what I think. I just ate so much mayonnaise the last time I did Atkins...

Has anyone tried fat free cream cheese. My bf accidentally picked it up by mistake. Do you think I could use it?

Cleo, I just made these rolls for the first time and I think I'm in love!!!!

I don't really care for the rr because it's really hard for me to tolerate the eggy taste.

But your rolls are so pretty looking! I'm using them tonight for a bbq sandwich.

I wanted to ask you, if you store them in the fridge or leave them on the counter?

I use the 1/3 less fat cream cheese (store brand) all the time and it works perfectly, so the fat free would probably work just fine too.

Maybe it's just personal preference, but DH & I don't care for what we've tried of the Walden Farms line. Their sugar free/calorie free maple syrup is slightly better than gross, with slimy clumps, even after shaking it well. Should one heat it or something before using it? The flavor is ok, but the texture is slimy.

DH & I BOTH thought the Walden Farms "jams" had a nasty taste! We bought the apple butter and the apricot and they were both so sweet we were both disgusted. . They went into the garbage can.

Hi S1mon3, I don't know? LOL!
When I folded in the ingredients, I did it gently and I baked them according to the directions, but I left them in for about 6 min longer.

I tell ya, this is the best lc roll I've had!

I added a half a scoop of vanilla protein powder to my egg batter.........it was after i already mixed them.........and they puffed up!!!! WOOHOO!!! Here's what they looked like.......top view is the waffle themselves........i tried to get a side view to show how thick they came out. Just like a regular waffle! The last pic is the finished product.......strawberries and cream belgian waffle!!!!! i'm going to add caramel davinci's the next time....they smelled and tasted like the real thing!!!! Oh and i added some cinnamon to the egg yolks too.

Or they're super good. You can quarter them and fry them in a skillet like home fries too.

What exactly is cream of tartar? I've never heard of it and was wondering if it'd mess up the whole recipe if I made them outside the tartar?

Info from wikipedia:

[edit] In food
In food, potassium bitartrate is used for:

Stabilizing egg whites, increasing their heat tolerance and volume;
Preventing sugar syrups from crystallising;
Reducing discolouration of boiled vegetables;
Frequent combination with baking soda (which needs an acid ingredient to activate it) in formulations of baking powder.
Commonly used in combination with potassium chloride in sodium-free salt substitutes
A similar acid salt, sodium acid pyrophosphate, is confused with cream of tartar due to their similar function in baking powder.

I have heard some folks use vinegar or lemon joice in its place but I have never tried it. It is found in the spice isle in case you want to pick some up.

Brought two oopsies with me to work. Went out to lunch with a skinny nurse coworker after a very stressful confrontational meeting at work. Ordered the big fabulouso burger with bacon and cheese with a side of broccoli. It came to the table looking incredible. I whipped the baggie out of my fashionable Stone Mountain Handbag, pulled out the Oopsies and piled the burger on top. But before I could take a bite of my drug of choice my skinny nurse friend said---- 0000hhh what is THAT! Turns out she is a big time low carber who lowered her dangerously high cholesterol with the help of Dr. A and wants the recipe. She just put her sister and BIL on Atkins and wants to give the recipe to them to!

I'm gonna make them without the cream of tartar cause I really don't see how a pinch of it could make that big of a difference.
