According to DANDR 02, it's not really. Only 1 tbsp is allowed if you are having constipation issues. It is not listed on the acceptable foods list.

Thanks for the clarification! I appreciate it.

I'm try to stay close to the induction plan until I am a little closer to my goal (my vice is a Splenda Mojito every couple of weeks). Also DH is doing this with me and I do not want to accidentally derail him - this time around has been much slower for him.

lindaokc - From the research that I have done, Flaxseed is supposed to help the thyroid and be a great source for your essential fatty acids. I'm just curious where you heard the contrary?

Frisco - I think the flaxseed added to the taste of the oopsie rolls. I only used a tablespoon but I really liked it. I used golden flax after reading that a lot of people prefer this to the regular flax. It has a lighter color and more subtle flavor. My next batch I'm using two tablespoons.

I love experimenting with the rolls. There are so many great ideas that you all have contributed!

Induction oopsie

I have been on a very strict induction since Jan.2nd. I have lost 10 lbs, which was all in the first 2 weeks) and have been stalled since. Not really a problem, I am still in ketosis, or was until last night. I hope I didn't mess up too bad.
Last night I was getting stuff out of the freezer for today's BIG GAME and I saw a lonley Carb Smart Fudge Bar in the freezer. I didn't really want it, it was just there, all alone in the box. Just that one. I don't know why but I ate it. I felt really bad after I ate it but couldn't do anythig about it. I was feeling pretty low so I went to the kitchen and got my comfort food out and ate it too.....
A BIG OOPSIE w/ BUTTER, SPLENDA & CINNAMON.
I sure felt a lot better after that.
THANKS CLEO!!!!!!!YOU'RE A GOOD FRIEND

1 or 2 tbls per day actually. If you add the 2-4 tbl to a whole batch it's perfectly acceptable unless of course you are eating a whole batch a day or more.

Yummy Dessert Fix: Think Cannolli

The other night after dinner I was really wanting something sweet. I checked out what I had on hand and decided to make a cannolli-esque kind of dessert. Super yummy!!

I took one of my thicker Oopsie rolls and carefully split it horizontally to make a top and a bottom roll. Then I took about 2 Tbls ricotta cheese, a small splash of vanilla Davinci's and mixed that well with a fork. Spread that on the bottom roll and add about 2 tsp of sweetened carob chips (or whatever "chips" you use) and add the top roll. MMMmmmmm. . .

Can you say Chocolate Chip Cannolli Sammie. . .????

Sadly, though, (lol) I'm doing a M/E week starting today, so I won't be able to add this dessert back in for another week. But it SOOOOO hit the spot!

Laters!

Andrea =)

That sounds delish!! I think that I may go for a grilled cheese using colby and jazz it up with tomato and fresh basil. That was my favorite once upon a time.

Today is my birthday!!! I made myself an OOPSIE Pizza! It was sooooo good! I followed someone else's recipe for using 6 eggs but I did add Designer whey to the batch (half scoop, only). I made 8 oopsie buns and 1 substantial size square for a pizza. I added no sugar pasta sauce, mozzarella fresh oregano and turkey pepperoni (my favorite). Baked it at 350 for 5 minutes...turned on the broiler to crisp it up a little more....Very delicious!

This has been a fun, non-guilty eating birthday for me!!! hehe

Ya know, it's been so long ago, I can't tell you where I even heard it. If flaxmeal is supposed to help, I will start using it. I try not to eat it often just because of what I've heard. Isn't it funny how something like that will stick w/ us, even if it's not true? I will do some research now. THanks for the info.

I typically am a "lazy low carb cook" I usually just very simple and basic foods and bore myself silly. But... that was before I seen this recipe! I whipped up a double batch today and oh my goodness! Great stuff! It sure helps to open up a whole lot of options. Thanks everyone for all the great ideas!

Good morning all my OOPSIE friends!!!! I have to tell you that after my first full day of oopsie delight I have managed to BUST past a weight stall that has lasted almost 3 yrs. I could lose to a certain weight and when i got to that weight I would automatically bounce back up. I've been doing this since December 2003..oh my God it's longer than i thought! So since then I had put on over 30 lbs which i lost last year.....but since January 2 of this year i have been bobbing from this weight to about 6 lbs higher......we all know what regaining weight does and i'm looking like Henrietta hippo right about now..........I weighed yesterday and was disappointed as i was up 4 lbs from my challenge weight from 2 weeks ago. I weigh today and I am PAST the weight couldn't get past.....so from yesterday it is a loss of 7 lbs. It is incredible to me to feel as full as did yesterday just by adding one item. I believe that this is the missing link in my weight loss journey and I have been heralding the news about the oopsie roll to everyone i know. I am not stopping there......I have so many ideas in my head right now. Just knowing that i will NEVER feel deprived again has me SO excited my family can't stand me right now!!!! Thank you AGAIN Cleo!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just can't thank you enough.........

Humidity makes a difference!

Every other day I have made these it was cold out and low humidity. My Oopsies turned out perfectly fluffy.
Today it is 55 degrees (that darn groundhog LIED!!) and very humid!
My Oopsies turned out FLAT! I'm sure they will taste just as good though so I'm not worried. Just have to remember to make them on drier days!

Congrats LuckiAngel! Well done!

I made another double batch today and just used the whole 8ozs of cream cheese so I wouldn't have all these tiny 2 oz packages in my fridge. I also added a tablespoon of flax seed and couple shakes of garlic powder. Wow, did they smell fantastic! (it made 15 large rolls) So hopefully with that many they will last abit longer then one day!

I am loving these. My second batch this week in the oven tonight.

Question:

What would be so bad eating almost all of them in 1 day?

It's just 3 eggs (most people eat that at breakfast)
And 3 oz. cream cheese (3 oz cheese allowed w/Atkins)

First time I made them I ended up with 7... tonight I ended up with 9...

I don't eat them all but what would be wrong if I did? It's only 3 and 3?

Your WOE eating needs balance. And I see a lot of posts lately from people eating whole batches of these and limited or no veggies.

I eat a ton of vege's all day everyday. I appreciate your answer, but I am still looking for an answer to my question. It's 3 eggs and 3 oz cheese.

I don't think it would be bad to eat them all over the course of a day. As you say, it's just three eggs and three ounces of cream cheese. That fits quite easily into a variety of healthy LC days.

Well, you could turn into that "Oopsie-a-holic" I have heard talk about. You might start sneaking money out of your kids piggy banks to pay for the oopsies, that wouldn't be good

Got a batch in the oven. I added black pepper, onion salt (instead of regular salt) and a clove of minced garlic to the rolls. Man, they smell so good! I can't wait for my BLT today.
