Hi there Soobee I'm about the same, which is to say, alternating between on plan and off.
I have been using the recipes from the book quite a lot, they are easy and really good. |

completed my first week of phase 2 - meat and eggs. ended with a .2 pound gain and gained inches. not sure what it is and it makes me super frustrated! i am also taking gla/cla combo. just finished TOM so i figured i should be getting a whoosh! but I am not! i am going to try to cut back on calories a little and no more veggies at all...
i was eating small amounts of snow peas and broccoli with my dinner.. keeping it about 6 carbs a meal. i hope this next week will see a nice whoosh! |

Hey everyone! NO problems here! I'm still doing Meat/Veggies week. And I'm down another Kg this week for a total loss of 7kg (15.4lbs) in 7 weeks!!!!
Ladeelillian - I track everything on ******. You made have some hidden carbs you are unaware of. I also have to make sure my calories are below 1800 and my carbs are below 15 or I don't lose. I tried the CLA/GLA a few years ago and decided it was a total waste of money! BTW - Peas are very carby!!!! How much peas and brocolli are you eating. 1c of brocolli is 6gm and to tell you the truth 1 c of brocolli isn't much! Soobee- ![]() for dh!!!!Daisy - Sounds like you need to find a plan you can stick to. Perhaps just trying to cut our sugars first, then processed (white) foods. But you're certainly welcome to hang out with us whatever you decide to do!Sandy - Good to see you!

Maryam, you seem to be having the best progress. I am afraid the answer is more exercise. I was hoping for a different answer. We are starting week 11. I had to add a little more food back into my diet. It's a dirty job.

Yeah adding foods back in is scary stuff. I added nuts back in, but kept my carbs and calries the same. So far I haven't had any problems. I decided I am not going to up the carbs or calories until I get to goal. Unless I have a serious stall. Then I may up a little just to shake things up.

Speedy - do you post in your journal anymore?
How is the challenge going for you? I am day five binge-free. Yay me! If I get this all under control, maybe I can consider trying this again. |

Hi Everyone!
Wow everyone's doing so great! Well, I'm thinking of starting this program, but I'm wondering whether it's absolutely necessary to take all of the supplements, especially the leucine and the DAG oil... Can I just skip on this? Also, the no sugar protein powder I'm able to find all have aspartame in it, which is discouraged on the program, isn't it? Thanks in advance! I'm so proud of you all! I can't wait to get started myself!!!!! |

Hi, I am just jumping in with you all having completed the first 2 weeks today. I had great results, but I never bought the book and I am scheduled to give blood tomorrow.
Are there some special things to do before the appointment? I made it for right after lunch (finally get to CHEW lunch, yay!) I seem to remember something about drinking coffee right before, but is there anything else? And we do give blood the first day of week 3, right? Thanks for any help, Liz |

Hi LizMomo! Yeah, I guess everyone from this thread moved on...
I've been doing kind of a semi-version (more leanient, adding the shakes whenever I feel like it and being very liberal w/ cream :blush How much have you lost so far? How's the 3rd week going? I think the meat week will be more difficult for me as I really like the shakes. It's fast easy and convenient! Well, here's to another great week! |

Hi Slim ( I do not know how to duplicate your post to show I am replying to you like I see you all doing
) but to answer, I lost seven pounds the first two weeks after being stuck doing low carb for months! I still do not have the book so I am actually sticking with two shakes and a meal because I like it so much, and lost another 1 1/2 pounds for my third week, so it's going slower but still great. I need the book to move on, looking forward to the 150's !Liz |

I actually just started again today. I never moved into the meat weeks as I don't have the book, but I lost 10 pounds doing the shakes and a meal for the month of April, took May off and maintained. Meant to buy the book, but didn't...
Then I went to a diet doctor for the fun of it--to possibly do hcg after reading about it here--he recommended a low fat low carb low cal diet, and exercise, (with or without the hcg) and wanted to sell me protein powder. Well, I figure I can buy my own protein powder and go back to the 6 week cure. I had good results without giving up fat. Still not convinced to try hcg, thinking of just doing shakes till I get closer to goal. |

Hi everyone! I'm lurking lol! =)
I'm very close to a mini goal and only six pounds away from my final goal. Has this really helped you to get the last stubborn pounds off? =] Did you feel full? I'm borrowing the book from the library and wanted to know if I could used EAS whey protein powder - 2 carbs per scoop. |

This diet is really working well for me, although I have made some modifications. I just can't stand eating all that meat, but I do really enjoy the shakes, so even though I am in week 5 I continue to substitute a shake for one or two meals a day. Two things that I love about this diet is 1) No cravings and I'm never hungry so no need to use willpower, 2) around week 3 a huge burst of energy means not only am I working my butt off at the gym, I find I am cleaning the house like crazy.
Best of all, you can't argue with results. I have a very expensive, tailored linen blouse hanging in the cupboard that I have always wanted to wear but could barely stuff my arms in, nor would the buttons even meet. Amazingly I tried it on this past weekend and I was shocked that I could easily button it up from top to bottom. Gosh did that feel good. |

I am getting ready to start this, I've had the book since last year, did 2 weeks of shakes then came up pregnant. LOL. So obviously I didn't continue. I even have the Enova, which isn't made anymore (and I understand it isn't necessary, but I know WHY he used it in there). Anyway, I love Dr. Eades' blog, I've lost weight with LC before (50lbs), so I know I can, I just have to DO IT.
I'm hoping to get my husband on it, too, he has the middle pudge like me.. But I'm afraid he will have a hard time, he is in his car all day for work. Not just driving, though, he is constantly doing stuff. He's been eating sunflower seeds all day. LOL. Pooti, I never made it to the meat weeks. I hope somebody checks in to help you.
