What is the best way to use protein power?

Im new to using protein powder and I read that you should have some when you wake up, and right after you are done working out. However, when I wake up, the first thing I do is workout, so should I still have some right after I wake and then right after I finish working out or should I just have one after i workout?

I think it depends on what your goal is...if it's muscle building then do both, if it's weight loss then one or the other.

i use it mixed with water a day for muscle maintanace,i use body fotress stawberry protein powder from walmart
