Summer is coming - Low Carb Ice Cream Makers
I have tried just about every kind of ice-cream maker there is. Paid enormous amounts of money for those ones with the gel filled cylinders you put in the freezer - take forevvvver to get cold enough to make ice cream....so got an icecream maker with two cylinders...they take up a lot of space in my small little freezer too.
This is the easiest one I have found. Just use ice cubes out of an ice tray and don't even need rock salt - regular salt will work just fine. Camper's Dream Ice Cream Ball at REI.com Don't even need electricity! I got mine at REI, but they have them in a lot of places that sell camping equipment for obvious reasons - no electricity needed. I got the quart one and that size takes regular ice cubes - don't know about the pint size one. I just rolled it back and forth and played around with it while watching t.v. and of course if you like whipped cream on your ice-cream, you can always either whip it with a mixer or get one of these..... White iSi Mini Whip (Half-Pint Size) - Whipped Cream and Dessert Maker I am learning that very low carb, high fat is the way to go.....what a yummy way to enjoy FAT!
