Do you follow the "Protein Power" plan?

Hi,

I would like to talk to someone who is doing this plan. I have some questions about the meal plan. I picked up and browsed the book, but haven't read it.

If you'd be willing to answer some questions, please send me a message or post here! I would appreciate it!

Atkins and Protein Power are similar. They are both low carb plans.
Your food is very limited on Atkins (for the first two weeks) which works for a lot of people. Atkins is 20 carbs Protein Power is 30-40 in the beginning. Protein Power is much more lenient. Atkins is much more popular with more info and support available to you. Atkins encourages ketosis. Protein Power doesn't mention it or its importance.

i have an addiction to reading all the low carb books out there. am now in the process of reading this book even though i am still on induction level foods + nuts and carbs are 30gross a day. so i'm atkinsing for the long haul but like to see if there is any new research out there among all the different plans. i think the basic difference in so many of them is just the "packaging" which part of the platform does each push...

That's basically what I was wondering ... what is the difference between that and Atkins. The difference that I could see was that they counted carbs AND fiber daily and it seemed that there were more carbs allowed on PP at the beginning.

I also saw fruit listed ... is that done at the first stage of Protein Power? Is there a list of foods you can have as well as those to avoid (like with Atkins)?

If there is someone out there that has looked at both plans, why did you pick one over the other (either Atkins or PP)?

I am thinking that I might need to pick up a copy of this book and just read it myself instead of pick at people who have read it.

I saw that they also have a shorter version of their book ... all I know is that it has the words "30 days" in the title. Has anyone read it? If so, what did you think?

Zay, I appreciate your insight and comments. Mikispirit, I will send you a pm. Thanks for your help!
