food weighing scales???
I have a digital scale, pretty inexpensive. Im curious, do they have scales that if u enter how many calories per ounce are in your food that it will calculate it for you? Sometimes when my food weighs 4.4 oz i tend to round. Thought it would be a neat feature to have. Anyone have one or seen one?
I also have a very inexpensive digital scale, got it for Christmas.
I use calorie count (a tracking type website) to see what the calories are.
I am lucky to have an iPad so that I always know what my counts are.
Quick search on amazon brought up these ones. I hope this helps.

Thanks so much for the info! I guess there are many options! I have written down a lot of regular food items and the amount of calories in 1 oz of that item. I thought if i entered that for example there are 9 calories in the strawberries i am weighing, it can automatically calculate the calories in the portion i put on the scale. Save me the math i guess.
Handwriting would not work for me as I lose the notes far too often.
The thing I like is the different price ranges from 35 to 70... so there is something for every budget. The only thing that concerns me about most of the scales is the lack of reviews. I base my purchases quite a bit on the reviews.
Example: I did not heed Walden Farms Ketchup reviews... yucky, but the BBQ sauce had great reviews and I LOVE it!
I prefer online programs anyway because of the recipe calorie calculator. I have a house of 6 adults and I cook for everyone, so this makes it easy to plan meals when it is my turn to cook.
I weigh on my digital scale, then enter the weight of whatever it is in ************ and it calculates the calories for me. This works great for me, since I track everything through ************ anyway.
I have one of the inexpensive scales but it doesn't calculate the calories or anything it just weights the food. I nevwer thought there could be one that calculates the calories for you, sounds very interesting. :)
I am thinking Beeb got one that she really likes. Maybe she'll post it (if it's her and I haven't lost my mind lol).
Yeah I love reading the reviews of things too before I buy them, it's very helpful. :)
