I have never had a King Cake, but I have seen them! Have fun!!! Mardi Gras time again! One of these years DH and I will be in New Orleans for it! Just to say we have !!!!

New Orleans is one of my favorite cities, to the point that I contemplated moving there years ago (before Katrina), BUT you could not PAY me to go there during Mardi Gras!!

D: ?? It's DH's birthday, but he's working out of town. He's hoping to be able to leave early today and be home in time for dinner, but if his case goes active (he's doing surveillance today), he'll stick with him until he's no longer active. Could mean he's not home until late, late.
Happy Birthday to DH, Dawn. Hopefully he can get home, but if not, I'm sure you guys will have something fun planned. You're going amusement parking this weekend, right?

Plain 0 Greek Yogurt w/ a smear of SF strawberry jam on top.
All of that is about 1100 calories! So may switch things up.
What is with me and all salty foods? Most of the prepared meals are FULL of it plus I am drinking Bouillon on DDs. I May have to invest in a food scale and start preparing my own meals.
PS, we are drowning here in rain and snowmelt. Poor puppy, no place to poop. Standing water/slush EVERYWHERE.
Woke up with a horrible migraine today... I have a lot to do so I have to go to work ( wish I could just stay in bed).
Had a mocha with my migraine medicine this morning... Nothing else for breakfast yet.
yep, I've seen them but not had them (king cakes)... I've worked in NO before Katrina, but haven't seen it since. Was in Baton Rouge a few months after IIRC... Actually, DH and I are thinking of doing an Austin/New Orleans trip this year. Just trying to figure out the best time of year to go (read: not too hot).

D: I've got a pork shoulder in the crockpot, will make pulled pork tonight.

4T of bbq sauce
2 LC tortillas
1033 cal thus far
I still have about 200 cal for chocolate :)
B - Bulletproof coffee w/ S'mores Torani SF syrup
L - Nothing!
D - "Date Night" with my sweetie....either NY Strip or Jumbo Shrimp with a big baked potato, and salad bar.
owning my choices today.
All was good -- breakfast to plan, lunch based on my research (plus a piece of bread, that I then added to my counter).
Then, I was watching the hockey game, and was mindlessly eating this really oily veggie/noodle stirfry leftover from our cooking class.
And some spaetzle.
So I stopped, counted those, re-jigged my dinner, and I should still be ok.

2T light bbq sauce (20 cals!)
no tortilla, which is fine. I got some that are whole wheat and 100 cal each... funny, the WW ones are like -- 1 is a serving= 100 cal.
the regular ones are like 2 is a serving = 200 cal (i.e. 100 cal each). So I bought regular ones :annoyed:
He has not yet told me what he wants, so I can't plan. I'm not too worried if I go over though, as I'm having 3 DDs this week. Big food weekend planned at Six Flags, but I can do 3 DDs next week again if needed. Have I mentioned how much I love JUDDD/5:2? :love:
