Entering Ketosis
Should I not be eating too much veggies and protein and much more fat to enter ketosis? I've been eating veggies and protein and very little fat past week to lose belly fat, and I want to enter ketosis. But I've been looking around, and everywhere it says fats are the most that I should be eating and little protein and no veggies. I'm scared of eating too much fat in case I never achieve ketosis and I gained weight for no reason. I found out coconut oil is one good choice for fat, are there any others that I should do?

no matter how much fat you eat, it will not prevent ketosis. You can eat veggies. If you limit your carbohydrates to less than 30g per day (fewer than 10g per meal), you will be in ketosis. I recommend that you read the Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution so that you can understand ketosis a little better.

Fat CAUSES ketosis -- it doesn't prevent it.
Yes, Coconut Oil (CO) is a good one. So is butter, fatty meat, avocados, olives (including olive oil), etc. The things to avoid are margarine (don't eat this EVER for any reason!), and any type of hydrogenated oil. |

But, people can be in ketosis on low fat plans (like Stillman's) because they lowered their carbs. |
