Our world has suffered a great loss. I believe that without this man many of us would have already been in heaven to greet him yesterday. I admired him so much for standing up against everyone for all these years and never backing down. I am so glad he got to see the beginnings of our medical community starting to see the light. I will proudly tell everyone I know that " I am doing Atkins" and will convert as many people as I can to this wonderful WOL and WOE. He was and will make this world a better place. On behalf of myself and my family...... Thank You Dr. Atkins.....without you I would be "more" of a person.

It is hard to know what to say. I thank you Dr. Atkins for all the hard work you have done in all these years. You have changed so many lives. You were a strong man, standing up for what you believed and not backing down under presser. God Bless you, your family, friends and LC's. We will miss you. But your work lives on.

I want to thank Dr. Atkins for saving my life. Eating disorders were killing me, and with this eating plan I can finally eat, be healthy and never fear gaining weight again. He has enabled me to teach my child how to eat healthily for the rest of her life.
God Bless you Doctor! Rest in peace. Monica and Alexandra |

The rest of my life will never be the same because of Dr. Atkins and his courageous relentless pursuit of the truth. At the very least I will probably live a lot longer with lower weight, BP, cholesterol and much higher activity level. I am healthy, living, proof to my family and my co-workers of the effectiveness of this WOE. So sad that he is gone just as the world is coming to understand the danger of too many wrong carbohydrates. May his work live on and continue and may the Good Lord keep and bless Dr. Atkins

Dear Veronica and Atkins Center Staff,
My heartfelt condolences on the passing of your husband and founder. I am sure I am not alone when I tell you that Dr. Robert C. Atkins changed my life! He challenged the system with his seemingly radical assertions about food. He challenged us to rethink food choices, eat well, lose weight and feel great doing it. Day by day, the tide of societal acceptance is turning to embrace the low-carb way of eating. He may be gone but his legacy will no doubt continue to benefit millions for generations to come. He is a wonderful man, whom I regret never having met personally. He will be sorely missed. Sincerely, Melissa Hunnefield Lititz, PA |

Thank you, Dr. Atkins
I wonder if he knew how many lives he saved? He certainly saved mine and made it worth living at the same time.
I had tried everything. Nothing worked before the Atkins plan no matter how hard I devoted myself to it. Both my husband and I were in serious trouble - in our 50's, both of us morbidly obese in the 300 pound range - he was living with diabetes-caused skin ulcers and I was barely moving out of the house. We tried Dr. Atkins' plan as a last result. In less than a year my husband's diabetic ulcers were completely gone - he had lost over 100 pounds, I also had lost almost that much, and we had begun to take up twice weekly racketballl games for fun. We owe our lives to Dr. Atkins. I have no doubt at all of that. Jane

Dear Dr. Atkins,
Thank you for your wisdom and perseverance. Thank you for the gift of knowledge and long life. A man has lived his life well when so many people tell him how much his life work has greatly improved their lives. Live and rest peacefully on the other side. We are eternally grateful. |

Godspeed, Dr. Atkins....
Not only did you save my life, since my blood sugar was very high when I started lowcarbing, you also helped to give me a new career. I will forever owe you a debt of gratitude. My greatest consolation now is that you saw so many who had laughed come around and say you were right. All those years, and in the end, you got to see many change their position on following a lower carb way of life. You were RIGHT all along. I'm so glad you got the chance to hear other people say so. (finally) R.I.P. We'll take it from here..... Julee Dennis, CEO Gram's Gourmet Lowcarb Foods |

I feel like I have been given a second chance at my youthful figure due to Dr. Atkin's studies and research. He had found the key to unlock those stubborn fat pounds so that they could be released. Even though I am somewhat of a newbie (2/23/03) I feel that he has changed my life and my dh's life forever. We are deeply gratified to him. We only wish we would have been able to express this in person. Dr. Atkin's was a great man to all who knew him.
My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to his family and dearest friends. Even though he has passed, he remains here forever in his work.

A Sad time
Rest in peace
His work will live on there is no doubt of that and he will be missed by many. He made his mark on this world and I guess that's all anyone can hope to do. He lived to see the world begin to accept him as a revolutionary and not a quack. Sad to see him leave this world - Grateful for his work R.I.P Kitty |

Dr. Atkins, an amazing human being who never gave up on his beliefs and never gave up revolutionizing lives forever!
Isnt it interesting that he passed away just as the medical world finally agreed with him! You won all the fights, battles and yes even the war on obesity! God bless you, and comfort your family! Lori and family |

I am so thankful for Dr. Atkins and his work. I dieted my way up to 260 pounds with high carb/low fat plans. Because of Dr. Atkins, I have been able to avoid taking meds for high blood pressure, I am losing weight for the first time and chronic pain I have had for years is gone. His way of eating changed my life and has given me hope. Chris
