2011 SHOW US YOUR PROGRESS

Okay fellow CCers, I see quite a few threads with some AMAZING progress pictures and it is about time we update the progress sticky with some current pictures.

So, show us your progress pics so far.

I think as we head into the holiday time with treats tempting some of us, it would be nice to see that while this journey may take some of us a while, IT CAN BE DONE!!!!!!

For me I have been at this for 2.5 years. I've come a long way, and have quite a ways to go, but so far, I'm very happy with where I'm at.

I'm not a century club member (yet) but i just want to say WOW congratulations to you! Not only for the loss but for sticking with it, thats the hardest part. You'll see loss no matter what you just have to stick with it. I hope to be apart of it next year at this time! Hoping to lose 100 by next September!

Take Care!

Hey Lexiann...you don't have to have lost 100 lbs to be here...we just have more to lose than maybe others.

When you take your pictures we hope you will share them with us..doesn't matter how much....all pictures can inspire somebody

Maybe it SHOULD be a dress? Lol.

Thanks Lexi, you can do this as well. I've been sticking through it for over 2 years, even though for months at a time I have no losses. This is just the way I eat now, for health, weight loss is a bonus!

Yup, that is the hardest part i think is sticking with it ESPECIALLY if you don't see results sometimes. Easy to get discouraged and give up. When I did LC in 2008 i was able to lose about 45 lbs, i got to 190 and got comfortable and didn't try to continue or maintain. Thats whats scary for me, This time around I know I can do it, I don't want that to happen again. I needed to keep losing whether i felt great or not. Either way if you continue on it you know you'll at least not gain and you have the potential to keep losing, makes since to keep trying then right? I'll need to reference back to this in a few months!

Lexiann, I've lost weight a thousand times. Hundreds of (if not a thousand) pounds. My problem was keeping it off once it was gone. I finally found the key for me. Lose weight for a few weeks, then move into maintenance. I find if I can maintain for a couple months, I can go back to losing.

That's my strategy this time. Lose and maintain. Lose and maintain.

It will work this time. This is the last time I will ever be on a diet. I may not be a size 4, but I won't weigh almost 400 lbs either!

ETA: Not to say my plan is the best plan for everyone. But it's the best plan for me.

Hi girls, TX asked me to post here, so here it is!
In 2005 I was going to get my tubes tied, I went to the pre-op and they said you are too heavy for our scale you need to go down to the loading dock to be weighed, I said um NO, and ran out and never did have surgery, so I was over 350 pounds, not sure how much over. So friends of ours had started Atkins, and told us about it, me and my ex husband started and lost 70 pounds each in about 5 months, went on a trip to Mexico, gained 17 in one week and then for 5 years I would start and restart never really sticking to it, got up to 325, and as low as 289. So last year on my son's B-day 9/27/10 I said I am going to do this no matter what, my current fiancee and I were talking about getting married, and I knew I couldnt ruin another marriage being so fat and miserable with myself, and he is skinny, people probably thought I was eating his food! I have never been thin, around age 9 I got my period and started gaining a lot of weight, I have not weighed less than 200 pounds since I was 13, and right now I am 1 pound away, and I just turned 43! I started and lost weight but refused to exercise, finally in Jan I said OK I will join the gym, well I ended up loving it and have become a gym rat!!! I also ran my first race, I could never run! I have a tough mudder 5K with obstacle in November that I am looking forward to! I get married 10/9, so it is coming up, never did I think I would lose 104 so far in less than a year! My advice is it works, if you follow it and listen to your body and what works and what doesnt! And exercise if you are not, 1 pound of fat is like 3 fists, 1 pound of muscle is 1 fist, so you will look better! I have not lost a lot of pounds in the last 3 months but I am wearing clothes that are so much smaller! I had a lot of arm skin, I will show you, I had my arms done in April, I lost 35 pounds since then and really started working out hard after I healed to get them in shape. I plan to have about 25 pounds of stomach skin removed next Spring if I can scrape up the money!!!!!
If I can do this anyone can! I never ever thought I would do it, get a journal, talk to people, find a support and you can do it!!!!

Here I am in 2005 at my worst

This was 2002 a year or two after my son was born, my stomach is laying on the counter, ughghg

THis was close to last year when I started at 305

Dec 2010

Jan 2011

So that was 40 pounds and no gym, the rest are once I joined the gym and I go about 6 times a week plus running
Late Jan 2011

2/11

3/11

April pre surgery

after bandages removed, I lost 3 inches of hanging skin

May 2011

June 2011

July 2011

August

Push ups, LOL

My wedding gown I will be wearing

My 43rd last weekend

And that is that, I am 3 pounds form my doc's goal I am 5'10 but I want to try to get 180-175 if I can before surgery!

Amber

Was a little hesitant about posting pictures but I guess there's no harm in it! The pictures are cropped (to take out some friends) so they're a bit out of proportion, but...

Here is me at the end of December around 330 pounds-

And here is me at 220(ish) at the end of August.

I submitted these pictures (uncropped) to the Atkins superstar competition... I hope they're charming enough!

Fish- you look incredible!! WOW so much younger!!!!

Deb- there is a scar that pic here was 3 days later I am 5 months out now, it is still there but it is fading really nicely, insurance doesn't pay but for me that $6,000 was worth it, there is no getting rid of the skin, same with my stomach and deflated air bag boobs, so either I live with it or cough up the money and somehow I am going to, my stomach bugs me the most. I smoked and tanned, and that is all bad for skin issues and I was always fat, so I carried a person on me for many years! If you go to my journal back to April you can see all the pics,

Bejwelme's journal to skinny bride, they are all there, I am happy with them, I am wearing sleeveless shirts all winter, I am not giving them up, LOL
