Original Nov Goals:
"I'm at 166.2 - goal is to get into the 150's. I'd love to get to 155 in November which would make me a "healthy" weight. Also I am going to get back into working out! Drink more water and less Diet Pepsi! Edited to add - and survive Thanksgiving at my parent's house!" ************************************************** *** So far I'm at 2 out of 4. I hit 155 this morning :-) We all ended up going out to eat - I ate according to plan - only had salad and turkey! However I have not cut back on Diet Pepsi nor have I really and truly gotten back into working out. So I'll have to work on those 2!! |

Congrats on your goals Badger!
I found out today that I can wear jeans in a size 34W as well as the cargo pants. I figured the cargos would fit easier due to the material, but I bought two pair of jeans today because Old Navy had a big sale and yep I'm wearing em right now. They fit like a dream, so snug, but in a good way. Now if only I can get the scales to go down about three pounds I'd be all set for November, lol. |

HI I'm new here. I just want to maintain for November and December. The holidays are tough, and if I can just keep my weight off until the first of January, then I plan to try for that last 15.
I'm glad I found this place, so many of your stories are an inspiration to me!! ![]() |

Well, this is my first post.
Since Nov. is almost over, I would like to weigh in about 2lbs lighter by the end of the week. I just started the "TNT DIET" which is low carb and carb cycling after I have reached my goal. It is also very intense with weight training to preserve and build muscle and strength. So, I am happy to be here and glad to see others looking to healthy lives! |

Question about suppliments
Hi, I just joined and I have a question. I just started Atkins and I have a ton of boxes of high protein hot cocoa's and puddings I ordered before starting this diet. They have about 12 grams of protein and 2-3 grams of sugar so does this mean I cannot have any of this since they have some sugar?

Updating... my goal was to lose 5 pounds and walk 45 miles this month. So far I have lost and gained the same 2 lousy pounds over and over so dont think thats gonna happen HOWEVER I only need to walk 7.5 more miles to make my exercise goal - I think I can do it

Don't think I am going to make this month's goal either - having a hard time losing and my weight is jumping around 4 to 5 pounds and I can't get below 236. I am not sure what is going on.

I can't find in the book what it says about spices but I know that one tablespoon of garlic powder has 6 carbs so its not good to use that correct? Does anyone have a good low or no carb recipe for rotisserie or roast chicken ??
Thanks!!!! Pamela |

The other goals stink. Got to rethink them, or change my office attitude. Self-employed is tough on motivation, sometimes..... Anyone else want to do a pre-month end check in? |

Reread DANDR OWL Chapters <- Done!Read Groves's The GI Diet <- done wasnt that great. Keep learning and practicing healthy living. <- I think i'm doing this. Having defined goals has really helped. now need to put some thought into December's goals. See you all on the next thread! |

Let's see how I did: November goals were
1. Lose 4 lbs. and get into the 180s -- whoo-hoo! Only lost 2 lbs., got into the 180s. 2. Walk 4 times per week Yes. 3. Do yoga 2 times per week Yes. 4. Lay off the cheese Yes. 5. Enjoy Thanksgiving by making a full menu of low carb foods. Kind of. We did make a low carb meal, but I did have stuffing . |

Well I'm still three pounds away from my November goal weight, but I was able to wear size 34w pants so I guess I completed half of my November goal. I'm still happy with myself. I'm going to get there in December for sure.

I lost 5.5, which was a little shy of the 8 lbs I had for goal.
I did pretty well on managing the flavored drinks during the month. We won't discuss the other 2 goals................work and excercise related...... |
