Hmmm, let's see....November Goals
1. Lose 10 Lbs. (245 lbs.) 2. Walk 3-4 days a week 3. Start a more intense workout 3-4 days a week. 3. Stay true to induction 4. Be more organized in household and kid's 5. Instead of procrastinating one more day, I'm gonna just do it. 6. Stay smoke free I better print this off so i can look at this everyday. I'll post this on my fridge. |

My November goal posted several days ago was to reach 150 lbs. but I thought that may be pushing it. This morning my scale read 154~! I thought..."I may just make it to 150 after all!"

I re-started TODAYafter many failed attempts earlier in the year. I have had success with low-carb in the past and I know it is the best way for me to eat. I feel better, I sleep better and just have an overall better feeling of well being. I'm hoping to stick with it this time and prove to myself that I'm serious about getting healthy and losing weight. My 30th birthday is in a little over a month 12/6...hoping to be on my way to a healthier life...
My November Goals: 1. Lose 15lbs 2. No Cheats 3. Try to clean up my potty mouth :P 4. Drink 100 oz water daily

amm - You are doing wonderful! You lost 93 lbs. in 7 months??? You are such an inspiration to me!
![]() ![]() You say you do low carb, healthy fat and a lot of exercise. I was just wondering what plan you are following. I've been doing Atkins since 10/9/07 and have lost 14.5 lbs. so far. I have a long way to go - but I love low carb, don't you! |

flower75 -- Thanks so much! I am proud of my progress so far. I don't really follow a specific plan, but if I had to name one, I would say South Beach. I didn't eat any grains or fruit during my first month, but I've slowly added some of those things back in. I eat berries and apples a couple of times a week... other healthy carbs I eat are beans and some whole grain products (tortillas, Flat-Out wraps, Fiber One cereal). I also don't limit my vegetable intake except for some of the starchier ones like carrots and corn. So, yeah, I'd say that I follow South Beach with some tweaking.

again AMM, that is so wonderful!!!! I had been on Atkins induction for 2 weeks and couldn't wait to add strawberries and nuts back in! I try to stay away from low carb bread, low carb wraps, etc. because bread is one of my weaknesses. But, I know if I really want one of those things I can have it. I was thinking about adding the fiber one back in - because it has a ton of fiber in it, I think like 13 grams of fiber per serving. yes, it does have about 11 carbs though. I also try to use flax meal everyday too. Has a lot of fiber and 0 carbs. I guess I want to do low carb - keeping my carbs at anywhere from about 15-30 carbs a day with most of the carbs coming from vegetables, little bit of fruit and foods with A LOT of fiber in them and little carb. I'm trying to find a good high fiber cereal with less than 11 carbs each serving. Do you happen to know of any? I may just have to add the fiber one back in. I know that fiber is very important and every person should get at least 25-30 grams a day (that's what I stive for everyday anyway).
So, I'm trying to tweak my plan so that I'm getting: 25-30 grams of fiber a day 15-30 carbs a day at least 4 vegetables & 1 fruit 128 oz. of water 1 cup of green tea daily my vitamins! exercise!!!! amm, how much exercise do you do everyday and what type of exercise? Just curious. I plan on exercising everyday. I have all different exercise dvds- like Tae Bo, dancing, biggest loser, etc. I also have an exercise bike, treadmill and ab lounge. I also have a 24 hour fitness center where I live that I can use. I also, can just go outside and take my kids for a walk! So, I have a ton of different options when it comes to exercising I just have to get motivated to start exercising everyday!!! |

flower75 - I'm a member of a gym and I exercise 5 days a week. On 3 of those days I start out with 30 minutes of strength training using machines and weights... then I do 20-30 minutes of cardio on the treadmill or the elliptical machine. On the 2 days when I don't strength train, I try to up my cardio to 40-45 minutes.

Loose 35 LBS I know its alot but Iv done it before and then some. I have so much to loose that I think it will come off easier in the beginning.
To walk 1 1/2 miles 5 times a week and start some pilates or some other type of exersice. |
