She has informed me I am not allowed to touch my ex husband....apparently I touched his head as he wept over our child's bed without realizing it. I really don't have anyone here.. Joe is in Ohio and my mother/family don't touch one another and have a hard time showing compassion.

I got some sleep last night with the help of a sleeping pill.

We'll get through this.

Again, I just can't tell you how much this means to me, to read your thoughts, prayers, feel your support. I am very alone and veyr much feeling it.

Emily has the hospital info and my address. She has the misfortune, poor girl, of having become my official contact. She will be able to tell you all you need or want to know when I am unable to get here. Please forgive me for not being able to respond to all calls/text messages/PMs/mail personally right now.

How very cruel of her ex's girlfriend. It's their child, for goodness sake. It's not like she's touching him for sexual reasons.

Edited to add: Emily, please tell her she does have people there, although not physically. We are all with her in spirit.

EMILYBLANCHE- Is there anyway we could put together a get well card drive for Joseph. I spent some time in the hospital as a child and it definitely lifted my spirits to receive get well cards from all over the world through my grandmother's prayer chain.

Hang in there! Thanks for the update. As hard as it is to do, please don't allow her negative energy to get to your son! If she does have comments to make, ask her to leave it at the door! I believe that the energy surrounding him right now needs to be all positive and if she can't do that, maybe your ex could ask her to stay away from the hospital for now.

Hey guys. Sheri just called.

It doesn't look good. The lil guy has AML Leukemia .

He will be going in shortly for surgery to have his central line put in for the chemo that will be starting.

Because AML attacks your bone marrow (from what I understand), survival rates are such: without a bone marrow transplant 50/50. With a bone barrow transplant 80/20. His two brothers are the most likely matches (1 in 4 odds). So, let's pray that one of his brothers can help him with this.

Ange - this is the oldest. The one with Aspbergers (sp?). He just gave the concert.

The younger one is the brain tumor survivor. Which, if I am not mistaken, makes him not able to donate even if he is a match.

One of my best friend's husband is fighting this awful disease.

For this reason, I'm walking in the American Cancer Society Relay for Life next weekend.
